We were all sitting around a hexagonal table, me placed on the corner between Zuko and Azula, on the balcony outside the little beach house heating a royally elaborate meal.
Zuko was still gloomy about before. "Why didn't you tell those guys who we were?"
"I guess I was intrigued," Azula said. "I'm so used to people worshipping us."
Ty Lee smiled over her other shoulder. "They should."
"Yes, I know, and I love it!" Azula seemed to relish in the fact that her life had been perfect with very little to worry about. "But for once, I just wanted to see how people would treat us if they didn't know who we were."
"It may not please you to know, princess." I folded my hands in my lap. "Common people are not very nice." I looked over at Zuko, who was leaning against Mai as they ate. "We would know..."

The party was to take place in a large stilted mansion on the Cliffside of Ember Island. I'd told Azula that we were early because "dusk to dawn" didn't really mean dusk to dawn but she tapped the ornate gold knocker on the large wooden door anyway.
The door opened to reveal a displeased looking Chan. "Um... You're a little early. No one's here yet."
"I heard you telling someone you'd be partying from dusk till dawn." She looked at the horizon. "It's dusk so we're here."
Chan stood in the doorway, dumbfounded at how someone could be like this. "But that's just an expression."
"We are the perfect party guests. We arrive right on time because we are very punctual." Azula made a chopping motion with her left hand, hitting her right hand as she said 'punctual.'
Chan shrugged and gestured for us to come inside. "All right, listen, my dad's an admiral. He has no idea I'm having this party, so don't mess anything up."
Azula stood next to Chan with an awkward smile. "That's a sharp outfit, Chan... careful, you could puncture the hull of an Empire-Class Fire Nation Battleship, leaving thousands to drown at sea..." Azula pointed at his outfit. "...because it's so sharp."
"Um..." Chan pointed less enthusiastically at Azula. "Thanks."
Azula had an enthusiastic smile, which quickly turned to a frown as Chan walked away.
"Was that an attempt at flirting, Princess?" I asked as I paused beside her.
"Yes..." Azula looked down.
"Don't worry, Azula. You'll get better with practice." I smiled at her before following after Mai and Zuko.
Ruon Jian was combing his hair in a mirror. He saw us walking by and turned to us. "Hey, first ones here, huh?"
Zuko and Mai were walking side by side. "Pft. He thinks he's so great." Zuko turned to Mai. "Well, what do you think of him?" They stopped walking and I nearly ran into Ruon Jian in an effort to avoid crashing into Mai and Zuko.
"I don't have any opinion about him. I hardly know him." Mai's voice was as absent from feelings as always.
Zuko seemed very jealous. "You like him, don't you?" Mai sighed and walked away, as Zuko glared angrily in the direction of Ruon Jian.
It didn't take long before the party was in full swing and Ty Lee was surrounded by the boys from the beach. With so many people around I was trying to play body guard to the entirety of the royal party but I didn't worry too much. Those boys ended up getting to close for Ty Lee's comfort and she knocked them all out.
Ty Lee then cartwheeled through her newly cleared path and approached Azula. "Oh, I'm glad you're here. Those boys won't leave me alone. I guess they all just like me too much."
