Saturday came all too quickly. I made my way down the windy streets of Stars Hollow, a cup of coffee from Luke's in one hand and a small bag of my stuff in the other. Shane's house wasn't far from ours and was nicely secluded with tall trees. The rustling leaves provided a soothing soundtrack as I approached the front door.
Yo, what's up, shortie?" Will's voice boomed as he leaned against the now open door frame. "Staying over," I said. "What are you two up to? Shane is acting weird, " said Will.
"I think the real question is what are we not up to..." I replied with a mischievous grin.
"Do not do anything stupid," he warned.
"But Will, her sister stole all the smartness in the womb," Shane added with a smirk, finally making an appearance. Will rolled his eyes, clearly amused by Shane's comment. The three of us stood in the hallway, the anticipation of a fun-filled evening hanging in the air.
"Well, I must be gone and take my companion with me as she really needs to brush her hair, seriously girl," she said with a smile. With that, she grabbed my arm and pulled me towards her room, which was scattered with clothes of various colors and styles. Her vanity was cluttered with makeup set out in an organized chaos, along with all kinds of other beauty products neatly arranged on the shelves. As she sat me down in front of the mirror, she began to comb through my hair gently, her fingers working skillfully through the tangled strands. I watched in amazement as she transformed my unruly hair into a silky, smooth mane, all the while chatting animatedly about her favorite hair care tips and tricks.
Even with all the mess and the pestering from her brother, I loved Shane's house. Maybe it was my friends, but the overall presence was something I enjoyed. Almost cozy.
"So what is the deal with this guy?" She asked, her eyebrows raising in a suggestive manner.
"He's just some guy from school," I replied as I began sifting through her closet.
"You mean you have friends? I'm joking. You seem to have acclimated, " she said as she stood behind me, pointing out some outfit options.
I settled on a white tank top and a denim skirt that if anyone from Stars Hollow saw me in, I'd be in deep shit because of how short it was. Shane gave me a simple makeup look with a red lip, and I slipped on my sneakers and leather jacket. As I looked at myself in the mirror, I couldn't help but feel a surge of confidence. I was ready for whatever the night had in store for me.
Shane wal wearing a long sleeve red dress and her converse and looked stunning. I came out to the kitchen to see her and Will talking.
"Please, Will." Oh no, she's equipped puppy dog eyes.
"I am not driving you to this thing." The opponent was unaffected.
"You don't want us riding the bus like this," guilt tripping...
"Fine, but you're paying for gas" and point for Shane.
"Time to party." she smiled at me as we made our way to the car.
♡Time Skip♡
The house was huge, I mean like more than five bedrooms huge. It looked old and sturdy, and the music blared out onto the street. Will took us up the driveway and gave us the usual lecture before pulling away.
"This is insane," said Shane before grabbing my hand and pulling me inside.
The crowd was large but not crowded enough that you couldn't walk through. I looked around for the familiar blonde but didn't really recognize anyone besides a few classmates. Shane eventually let go when we made it to the kitchen. It was littered with bottles of expensive booze, and the smell made your nose burn. Shane handed me a shot, and it was bitter going down. As I sipped on another drink, I noticed the dim lighting and the loud music that echoed through the house. People were laughing and chatting, creating a lively atmosphere. I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness as I scanned the room, trying to find a familiar face in the sea of strangers. The music suddenly changed to a catchy tune, prompting a group of people to start dancing in the living room. I watched as they moved in sync, feeling a sense of freedom and carefreeness in the air.
"Let's dance!" said Shane as she grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the flash mob. We had a great time just doing funny dances and cracking jokes. Shane kept drinking as usual but wasn't totally wasted. The music was infectious, and we couldn't help but let loose and enjoy the moment. The crowd around us cheered and clapped along, adding to the energy of the dance. Shane's laughter was contagious, and I found myself laughing along with her, forgetting all my worries and just living in the moment.
"Having fun?" I turned and saw the face I'd been looking for, regretting the now layer of sweat I had developed. "Yeah, Blondie, good party." I smiled at him, and he smiled back.
"I'm glad, me and some friends are going out back to hang out away from the noise, grab your friend it'll be fun," he said. I nodded and wrestled Shane away from the crowd. I dragged her in the direction he went.
The patio outside was as if someone had put a blanket over the speakers. Outdoor chairs and couches held about seven people as they chatted around a firepit and passed around a bottle of tequila. Tristan waved us over, and we took a seat on one of the couches.
"So which one of you is Pixie?" Asked a brunette sitting next to Tristan. I raised my hand, and the guy sitting next to me chuckled. I gave a confused look.
"What stories have you been telling blondie?" I asked. Everyone laughed, and I took I swig of tequila. "He's been raving about you," said another group of guys who seemed to just be picking on him.
"Just that you were cool," he replied, smirking at me. I've met this guy like twice, why does he make me panic. We all sat around for a while. The music made a soothing background, and the group of people was really nice. Shane fell asleep on my shoulder, and we all just got to know each other.
Eventually, most of them made their way inside or home. I had started up a conversation with the guy next to me, who turned out to be in my art class. His hair was long and brown, and his eyes were this dashing shade of blue.
"What are you working on for your first project?" He asked. The project in question had to be something relating to people or a person. It could be whatever medium, sculpture, painting, etc.
"I'm not sure. I have an idea, but executing it is gonna be challenging. " I laughed, and he smiled, making me blush.
"I bet whatever you'll do will be great. Your sketches were amazing," he beamed.
"Thank you,"
Will eventually arrived to pick us up, carrying an unconscious blonde to the car. I peeked my head inside, wanting to tell Tristan bye but quickly shielded my eyes and bolted. He was making out with the brunette, awkwardly entwined in a passionate embrace that made my heart sink. I felt a pang of jealousy and betrayal wash over me as I turned away, realizing that maybe he wasnt flirting at all. I forced myself to look away, to focus on the task at hand and not dwell on the hurt and disappointment that threatened to consume me.
A/N: Long one, but so proud. New character woop. I want drama lol. I wonder what Chrissy is gonna feel like when she realizes Tristans feelings for her sister....
