Trigger warning: blood, violence etc.

"You have'nt been assigned to any work in specific. So, you are to do miscellaneous tasks around the ship until you get permanent occupations. Is that clear?"

"yes, it is."

"that didn't sound too enthusiastic, but i'll allow it"

"what do we do now"

"you can go clean the windows on deck 2"

"okay, well get on it"

Deck 2 was the one under the main deck, where the bridge was.

The windows were cold, like the endless empty space behind them.

The frigate was to start YVN travel soon. It was going to travel to one of the many middle worlds, it was known that it would be a mining planet, they had to test their personal respirators.

After cleaning the many windows on the 2nd deck the lovers started to walk  back to their room.

"hey, you there" snake-tattoo-guy called

Alex pointed his thumb at his chest.

"yes, you. Come here for a second"

Alex departed from his boyfriend, and walked through the gargo bay door. It shut behind him.

There was a kick to his ribs. He felt one of them snapping. His pistol flew behind a crate, as he recieved another hit, now to his face.

Snake-tattoo-guy laughed. Alex felt the burning sensation of his leg breaking.

"i saw you two in your little indecent acts."

Something cut Alex's face. he had closed his eyes and backed into a corner.

"tricks of nature, like you, shouldn't exist."

Another strike landed on the boy laying in the corner.

Then he lost consciousness.

It had been over two hours. Max was worried. He didn' t know if he should check on his boyfriend. He felt that something has happened.

He put on some overalls and made for whre he last saw Alex. The door was ajar. He didn't want to open it. He was afraid. What if Alex was dead? He couldn't take losing another person so close to him.

He opened the door. There was blood on the ground. Then he saw his boyfriend laying in a puddle of red.

Max couldn't make a sound. He fell to his knees and started crying.

He dragged himself towards Alex. When he touched him, Alex winced. Atleast he was alive.

"what happened? Who did this?" he asked trough tears.

No answer, just breathing.

As Max started to lift his boyfriend off the cold and bloody steel floor, he prayed that he'd just make it.
