BEN'S P.O.V
AURADON CASTLE

I was in the castle with Mal, my parents and fairy godmother. We wanted to discuss the situation with Hades and the safety of Auradon.

"I think we all know why we're here." Dad began and we all looked at him seriously as he continued.
"The people are in a panic about Hades, he almost got out." Dad said and I scoffed.
"Who knows what he would have done if he had escaped?" Fairy godmother said.
"We can't risk having another villain on the lose." Dad said once more.

"I really feel like this is my fault." Mal spoke up and I turned to her, "I'm supposed to protect Auradon." Mal said.
"You did, you do protect Auradon." I defended her from herself.

"Everytime we open the barrier, we're exposed to danger. Malificent, Uma, Hades." Dad stated then my fun rang. When I was done, I turned to everyone else.

"Malificent's scepter, Y/n's necklace and the Queen's crown have been stolen." I said and Mal, mum and the fairy godmother gasped.

"Uma." Dad stated.
"We don't know that dad." I told him.
"And when people hear this, they would never want to leave their houses. What do we tell them?" Mum asked and looked at Mal.
"Mal. What do we do, how do we keep evil out of Auradon?" Mum asked her.

"I think that there's only one way to guarantee their safety. And I think there... can't be anymore going in and out." Mal said I was in disbelief.
"I think we have to close the barrier..
forever." Mal said and it looked like everyone else agreed.

"No." I said.
"Son." Dad said but I ignored him ans walked away.
"No." I said again.

"Ben." Mal said and followed me.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no." I said and trailed off.
"Ben. Hey." Mal said and we stood infront of each other.
"I do not want to take your dream because it was so beautiful and it is why I fell in love with you, but as king and as queen, what's our duty?" Mal asked me as we never broke eye contact.
"To protect Auradon." I said sadly and Mal nodded.
"But you know what this will mean? All those kids. Are you prepared for that?" I asked Mal.
"I know what it means and no, I'm not prepared for it. I just think that we have no other choice." Mal said.

Dad walked to us and got our attention. "Son. Mal's right." He said.
"I just don't think we would forgive ourselves if something terrible happened." Mal said and dad agreed with mum holding onto his arm.

EVIE'S P.O.V
EVIE'S PLACE

Mal came in and moments later, Y/n came in and we went to my work room.
"How are you feeling and how's the baby?" I asked her.
"Much better now, just a bit tired and I'm going for a more comfortable look and the baby's alright. We do have another appointment in a few weeks" Y/n answered.

"We can see that. Looks like someone's hoodie." Mal said and we chuckled.

"And cute bracelet by the way." I complimented and Mal nodded her head in agreement.
"Thanks E, just Aiden spoiling me to the core." She said with a small chuckle then turned to Mal.
"How was the meeting?" She asked her.
"It was good, well... not really... the Queen's crown, my mum's scepter and... you're necklace have been stolen." Mal stated and Y/n covered her mouth with her hands in shock and I too was also in shock.
"Who else knows about the crown, scepter and necklace?" I asked.
"No one." Mal began and gave a light chuckle as Y/n took a seat next to me, "I mean think about it, people are scared enough as it is. We have to employ these entirely new security measures." Mal said.

"Will this delay bringing over more VK's?" Y/n asked.
"We're talking about closing the barrier for good." Mal said.
"But you said no." I added, hoping she did.
"Yeah, that can't happen." Y/n said but Mal didn't say anything.
