LUCKNOW

VIRANSH HOME

Running down the spiral stairs holding on to handle, Vihaan started to call out his mother to tell her that Drishti convinced her family to meet them. Skipping the last two stairs he jumped on the floor and started shouting with excitement.

Running a hand through his hair he frantically looked here and there and started to call out his mother again.

VIHAAN: MAAAA...MAAAAAA!!!!

Hearing her son shouting with excitement Sanjana turned to looks towards the stairs and replies laughingly.

SANJANA: Yes! Yes! Stop shouting! I am here in the drawing room attending some guests. I swear, my boys!

Sanjana said with a loving laugh to her guests. Everyone could tell by the way she speaks to her children that she loves them more than she loves herself. They have always been a great part of her life after her husband. They have always been with her through thick and thin.

As a girl, Sanjana never knew how to cook. Even after marriage she was never forced to anything that she did not want to. Ranveer loves his wife too much to let her go through any sort of pain. He always kept her as a queen and expects the same from his boys.

As the saying is children learn from their parents, and therefore Ranveer never disrespected his wife in front of his children and even behind their backs in closed doors. In his entire life Sanjana has been the light he always seeks guidance from when lost.

But as we say, during a childbirth, a mother is born with her child. Spiritually speaking a women is born twice in her lifetime. First, as a baby and then as a mother. And when someone becomes a mother, motherly instincts become natural to her.

Same happened with Sanjana. Not for herself or husband, but for the first time she stepped into the kitchen as a mother. To learn for her children. To grow for children. She learned how to cook food for them. So that they can proudly say that their mother cooks the best food.

She even learned knitting for them. She wanted to be present in every part of their memory, present or not present that didn’t matter to her.

Vihaan ran to the drawing room where her mother was attending the guests.

He roamed an eye all over the room to know who all were there, when suddenly his eyes got greeted by Preeto and her daughter Radhika.

Today Preeto, Sanjana’s neighbourhood friend returned from Canada after a month long trip.

Standing up from sofa Preeto walked to Vihaan and touched his cheeks in a lovingly manner.

Crunching her nose with a smile she pinched Vihaan’s cheeks and said,

PREETO: Oh my God! Vihaan beta (Child). You have grown more handsome since I saw you last.

Bending down to touch Preeto’s toes Vihaan greeted her with a smile,

VIHAAN: Namaste (Hello) Aunty! How are you?

PREETO: I am great beta. How is your job going on? Is everything great?

Preeto asked with a large smile on her face making her a makeup crack on her smile lines. Seeing Vihaan touching her toes she blessed him with her hand.
