Weeks went by and the first task came closer day by day.
Badges have become a big thing in Hogwarts. Students wore them to show their support to the champion of their liking. The badges also had become a burden. Some students had charmed them to show their dislike to some champions. This time it was about Harry. 'Potter stinks' red in the green badges. Teachers had tried to stop students from wearing those badges but when they took one away there were two more put on.
Marian sat on one of the benches in the courtyard. She talked with a sweet Ravenclaw boy. They talked about if he should change his optional subject or not.
"Well do you like it?"
"No. Not really. It's really hard and I have done one assignment two times already and the professor just keeps giving it back to me and saying that it's wrong. I have read every book on the topic and there is no other way to do the assignment but it's still wrong. Every time I even look at the paper I get really anxious." The boy muttered. "It would be nice not to get that anxious when opening the book."
"We could talk about this more after dinner tonight. You can come to my office and we could look up options together."
The Ravenclaw boy nodded. Immediately a much more relaxed look on his face. "Yes please. I'll come. After dinner." He nodded and stood up from the bench. "I'll see you then. Bye Miss Weasley."
"I'll see you then." Marian smiled softly.
When the student left, Marian saw Harry walk to the courtyard after talking to Ron. Although their conversation seemed to be more like an argument. Harry walked past the big tree when Draco started to talk to him. Oh no. This can't be good.
"Why so tense Potter?" Draco called. "My father and I have a bet, you see. I don't think you're gonna last ten minutes in this tournament. He disagrees. He thinks you won't last five." Draco's friends laughed.
"I don't give a damn what your father thinks, Malfoy!" Harry stormed up to the boy and pushed him. "He's vile and cruel, and you are pathetic."
Draco started to look for his wand from his pocket when Harry turned his back. But Draco didn't get far before professor Moody took out his own wand and casted a transfiguration spell over the blonde boy.
Marian's eyes widened and she rushed to them. "Professor Moody!" She called. "Transfiguration is not to be used as a punishment mechanism. Change the poor boy back!"
"Professor Moody! What are you doing?" Minerva rushed up to them as well. "Is that a student?"
"Technically it's a ferret." Moody spat before dropping the ferret in other students' pants.
Harry and other students laughed, making Marian shoot them disapproving looks, making them quiet down, but only a bit. The only thing in her mind was how angry Lucius Malfoy would be after hearing about this. And she was the one needing to be there to explain the situation.
Draco was changed back by Minerva. He quickly got up from the ground and up on his feet.
"My father will hear about this!"
~
"My father will hear about this!" Draco spat.
"I have no doubts about it Mr. Malfoy." Marian stood in the corridor outside of professor McGonagall's office with Draco. His father would be coming to talk about this and waited in the office right now. Marian just went and fetched Draco.
"Why couldn't this have been dealt with yesterday when he actually did that to me?"
"First we needed to talk to professor Moody."
