Desirée was now seven months along, her due date was the last week of April. Since the incident she decided that she didn't need Jordan, she was capable of looking after baby on her own, besides new year new mentality. She'd stop hiding her pregnancy a week after the phone call, her work knew, her kapa haka class knew and so did some boys from the team, that only being Kotoni. Just like the rest of her family had implied Desirée was carrying a baby girl, she'd been thankful to experience a healthy pregnancy. Not that it didn't have it's negatives, the morning sickness, constant fatigue, nausea and Kai least favourite pregnancy hormones. On multple occasions he would find her crying over the food tasting different or not knowing what she wanted or even crying because she realised that food at the store gets thrown out.

Today Kai had let her take the car. He was pretty strict on his sister driving while pregnant he was insisting on skipping training just to drive his sister around but she eventually told him she'd be perfectly fine. Dropped off Kai at training and went to go have breakfast with Vaitiare. Desirée was lucky enough to beat the island time stereotype arriving 5 minutes earlier than planned. Ten minutes later the other wavy haired girl had walked in, Desirée shaking her head smirking realising the purple clouds on her neck. "Running on island time are we?" She smirked as Ti settles into her seat quickly glancing at the menu before looking up at her. "Shut up, I got a ride from Kotoni," She explains knowing exactly what her cousin was going to say next.

"I can see that, soon baby Staggs is going to the way," her cousin joked smirking as she shook her head. The two went up to order their food, Desirée getting 2 brownies and a strawberry smoothie, Vaitiare a vanilla latte. They both discussed their plans for the day, both keen on going baby shopping to use up the rest of their day off. "So how's Kotoni?" Desirée questions her cousin on her recent boyfriend of 4 months taking a sip of her strawberry smoothie. "He's so sweet, funny, caring, respectful, it's the little things about him I appreciate. I know we haven't been together that long but I can see myself with him starting a future," Desirée looked at her older cousin proud that she was able to find her person, hoping she'd find the one. "Aww, as long as he makes you happy I'm happy. I should ask Aunty Lizzie to set me up on a blind date."

The girls had shopped for what felt like ages. From bibs to onesies, dresses, socks, mittens, beanies, matching sets the list goes on. By the time they sat down to take unpack the stuff and take a breather it was time to pick up the boys. The girls arrived outside the club a couple minutes early, standing outside to stretch their legs. Desirée knew this was a risky move but she was getting nauseous for no reason and wanted fresh air. Thankfully Jordan had not walked outside yet with the first lot of men. Kai and Kotoni went over to the cousins greeting them. Ti and Kotoni were busying themselves with each other when Kai had started advising Rée to sit inside.

The Maori second rower packed up his training gear in his bag. "You ready," Reece asked tapping his side "Yo," he replied. They were going to hit the sauna after training so Reece had offered Jordan a ride while his ute was being serviced for the day. The rooms were almost empty the boys gallivanting around like 4 year olds. Both bursting into laughter when Jordan locks eyes with her. There she was wearing a black body con with spaghetti straps and brown flannel over the top. She quickly covered herself wrapping the what the could with the flannel. Jordan didn't realise how long he staring till her saw Kai glaring at him "Kai which ones available," Xavier jokes to the boys "fuck off," Kotoni replies while Kai simply flips him off, Coates laughing.

Jordan clenches his jaw, he knew it was just words and boys taking a piss but it pissed him off. "Jords you good?" Reece asks snapping him out of it. "Yeah all goods g," he lied as they went over to his car. Reece was clearing the backseat crumbs, sticker books and plushies. "Oh shit," the short fullback cussed under his breath. "Jords, I forgot to ask Tones if he's still coming out tonight?" "Um sure," the taller one answered hesitantly. As he walked over he prayed that Kotoni was at least near his car, he was near his car but he didn't realise that Kai's car was parked next to his. The rugby player stood near boot of the car taking a deep breath before speaking. "Tones!" Jordan would've felt better if only the centre had turned around, but unfortunatly he'd caught the attention of his girlfriend and other team mate.
