Suhani's POV-:
Today is a saturday morning and we all thought that it would be perfect to bring our plan in motion. Saanvi being a complete chatterbox will act as an icebreaker. And luckily she and Vivaan has met few times in a past as they are of same year.
Saanvi and I planned everything. But Nandini is still unaware of our plan because we want to keep things natural.
We have decided to meet in the University ground as Vivaan jogged there every morning.
Soon I reached college at met up with Nandini.
"Where is Saanvi?" I asked.
"She is at ground saying she'll wait for us there. " Nandini replied.
I smile and we walked toward the grounnd.Saanvi was already strategically positioned on a bench, ready to play her part.
“Hey, Nandini! Suhani! Over here!” Saanvi called, waving energetically.
As we approached Saanvi, I spotted Vivaan jogging in their direction. Perfect timing, I thought. Saanvi jumped up and started her usual torrent of chatter, engaging both Nandini and Suhani.
“Oh, Vivaan! Hi!” Saanvi exclaimed as Vivaan jogged past, causing him to slow down and turn towards the group.
“Hey, Saanvi,” Vivaan said quietly, catching his breath. “What’s up?”
“Just hanging out with my friends,” Saanvi replied brightly. “You know Nandini, right?”
Vivaan nodded, giving Nandini a shy smile. “Yeah, I have seen her few times.”
Nandini’s eyes lit up. I gave her an encouraging nudge.
“So, Vivaan,” Saanvi continued without missing a beat, “did you know that Nandini is a total bookworm? She’s probably read more books than anyone I know. What about you? Do you read?”
Vivaan’s face lit up. “Actually, I do. I’m really into mystery novels. How about you, Nandini?”
Nandini’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “I love mystery novels! Have you read any of Agatha Christie’s books?”
“Are you kidding? I’ve read all of them. ‘And Then There Were None’ is my favorite,” Vivaan replied, his voice growing more confident.
Nandini grinned. “Mine too! I couldn’t put it down. Which one did you read first?”
Raj’s eyes widened. “I think it was ‘Murder on the Orient Express.’ What about you?”
“Same! I was hooked from the start. We should totally exchange recommendations,” Nandini said enthusiastically.
I watched with satisfaction as Nandini and Vivaan delved into a lively discussion about their favorite books. Saanvi, sensing her job was done, subtly stepped back, giving them space to talk.
Me and Saanvi exchanged a triumphant look. Our plan was working better than they had hoped. Vivaan and Nandini’s conversation flowed naturally, their mutual interests creating an instant connection.
Later, as the us three friends walked home, Nandini was beaming. “Thank you both,” she said, her voice filled with gratitude. “I don’t think I would have ever had the courage to talk to Vivaan like that.”
“That’s what friends are for,” I replied, squeezing her hand.
Saanvi grinned. “And besides, I love a good matchmaking mission. Maybe I should start charging for my services.”
They all laughed, the sound carrying on the breeze. I felt a warm glow of satisfaction. With a little help from her chatterbox friend, she had helped Nandini and Vivaan take the first step towards something special.
