The king left to the Government Lands this morning, and for the first time since I returned, I can breathe with ease.

Growing up under King Barth's rule had been the biggest challenge of my life.
He built us into his personal weapons. We did as he commanded our whole life. If we failed him, he would punish us. When we were children, he would punish us himself. After we grew up, his punishment became emotional instead of physical. I will take physical punishment over the horrors he makes me do.

Bram and I, we were supposed to come back together for some " official business."
We were planning on coming home last Saturday, but Bram disappeared Friday morning.
The King didn't take it well. And after we couldn't find Bram, he sent me to punish my team of spies. He made me torture them until Ser Aston put us all out of our misery by shooting them in the head.

The king's meeting with the other families is tomorrow at the university. That is where the heirs were seen, all together, for the last time.

Nobody understands how come a group of the most important people living in the capital dissappear without a trace. The six of them are powerful, magical beings.

Morning came, and I hadn't slept for most part of the night.
I got dressed and went to the terrace to have my breakfast.
I feel shaken. As if I'm about to lose control. My body started to glow. My power rising to the occasion. I hate losing control. The memories of my childhood, of the punishments my father inflicted on me every time I couldn't control my abilities.
I remember I was around 8 years old. My power overwhelmed me, and my father's solution to "the problem" was to have the guards drag me to the dungeons. He had me there for three days until my light completely dimmed.
To the King, Lightbringers like me are useless.
Well, it's not so useless when he needs me to torture somebody.

Moving to the capital was the best decision we ever made. We found our freedom, with Bram, in the city. Far away from Elise. Until now.

After breakfast, I patrolled the castle to gather any information I could from the servants. All they got to share was usless gossip. So, I headed to the stables.
I hid inside a stall with my horse. I set up to brush his hair when two guards walked in talking.
-The meeting is still happening tonight at 9 pm. -one of the guards said.
- he is sending his generals in his stead. We are getting our orders tonight.-
I moved closer to keep listening, but they were gone.
