The bright rays of sunlight crept through the thin curtains, falling onto the blonde's face. He stirred a bit in his sleep, a whine escaping his lip as he turned to his right, nuzzling his head into whatever was in front of him, someone's back. Ash opened his eyes when he felt the thing in front of him move slowly, as if it were breathing. He sat up, looking at Eiji who was fast asleep next to him, his back turned to the blonde. Eiji's house only had one bedroom, so it made sense for them to sleep in the same bed, probably. The corner of Ash's lips lifted to a soft smile, what a sight. Waking up in the morning, feeling nice and fresh, a huge burden off his chest, and most importantly...the boy he held so dear next to him. It almost felt surreal, so much that the blonde haired boy had to slap himself in the face to make sure he wasn't dreaming. The brown haired boy next to him let out a whine in his sleep, turning around to face Ash, still deep asleep. A crease forming on his brows when he felt the sunlight fall over his closed lids. Brown eyes slowly opening to meet those jade green eyes.
"Good morming.."
"Morming?"
"Mor-ning."
A low chuckle escaped Ash's lips, seeing the pout on the brunette's face only made him laugh harder, eyes closing as he fell back onto the bed, holding his stomach and laughing. Eiji frowned, sitting up on his knees as he glared at the laughing boy next to him.
"You have such a funny Japanese accent when you speak English. It sounds even better when you're half asleep."
"Stop it! You can't even speak Japanese."
"I learned a few words before coming here."
"That's a few words."
"Whatever."
Eiji let out a laugh, it was these simple moments they shared that gave Ash a will to live. Eiji was the reason he found a purpose in life other than revenge, this brown haired boy was the reason he found life worth living.

"Japanese 7 eleven's are so different.."
Eiji turned his head when he heard Ash's words, the two of them were now outside, in a 7 eleven next to Eiji's house. And it was like none other Ash had seen, East Asian 7 eleven's tend to have a lot more going on than ones in other countries, they had more varieties of food, and were somewhat cleaner depending on the place. Everytime Ash walked by an item, and saw the Japanese writings, they were a constant reminder that he was finally free, he was no longer in New York, no longer being terrorized by Dino. He could have a different life now...It just felt so unbelievable.
"They are, choose something to eat!"
Ash walked around the store, he couldn't really understand anything. But he could tell what the foods were from what they looked like. He picked up a sandwich stuffed with chicken and cheese, it looked appetizing and strangely fresh for convenience store food. Eiji chose something quick as well, and the two of them sat together on the table with high stools next to the window. Car's zoomed by the store, yet stopping every time someone needed to cross the road, the sidewalks filled with fluttering pink petals from the mesmerizing cherry blossoms trees. Spring truly was a great time to come here.
"You seem to like cherry blossoms? You're always staring at them."
"They're beautiful..."
"They are, I've seen them so many times yet I find them mesmerizing each time."
"Mmmh."
"You're finally in Japan, Ash."
"I am...I can finally learn to be free, and fly like you."
