IN WHICH, a girl hiding her insecurities with a mask becomes a witch...
"SORRY ABOUT THE BITE. I RECKON THAT TWINGES A BIT"
harry and sirius now had their arms around ron, helping him back out the hole while you, hermione, lupin and pettigrew - who had three wands to his neck - were following behind.
"a bit? a bit? you almost tore my leg off!"
you roll your eyes,
dramatic much?
"i was going for the rat. normally, i have a very sweet disposition as a dog. in fact, more than once, james suggested that i make the change permanent. the tail i could live with. but the fleas, they murder"
you all make it out of the hole, ron being seated on a risen branch, his leg extended.
sirius was walking off, admiring the view of hogwarts castle.
"you better go" ron says.
"no, no. don't worry, okay? it's fine, i'll stay"
hermione shakes her head, "you go, we'll stay"
you wave him away, harry stands up, "you okay?"
"i'm fine. go" ron shakes him off.
he hisses in pain, pulling his pant leg up slightly.
you roll your eyes, moving away, not intending to listen to his incessant whining.
you glance to the side, lupin and pettigrew were now emerging, pettigrew must have been putting up a fuss.
he scurries over to you, gripping your jacket, you stiffen. "turn me into a flobberworm. please, anything but the dementors!" he begs.
his hand goes to grasp your mask, finger tugging, but your hand makes it to his face first, knocking the daylights out of him as he stumbles back.
you shuffle back, hand smacking to your face as the edge of your mask tore.
you give a deathly glare to the male.
he turns to ron, whimpering, "ron! haven't i been a good friend? a good pet? you won't let them give me to the dementors, will you? i was your rat!"
ron ignores him, turning to hermione, "sweet girl, clever girl. surely you won't-" he pleads before being interrupted by lupin who dragged him away after casting a glance at your slip of mouth uncovered by a mask, "get away from them!"
