Calm

Jane started sobbing and clinging to Thor who was stun to silent. Wanda starting crying as well and went to her brother who wrapped his arm around her. Anne moved quickly to Laura and saw there was a large cut on the side of her head she grabbed a handkerchief out of her reticule and began to apply pressure. Anne looked up and saw Captain Barnes close "Captain Barnes please go find the nearest Doctor" she calmly. Then she turn to Captain Rogers "Captain Rogers your place is closest can we please take Laura there?" asked Anne. Mrs. Rogers stepped forward "Of course Miss Anne anything you need it's yours" replied Mrs. Rogers.

Anne then looked at Captain Barton who was just starting at Laura. "Clint I need you and Captain Rogers to get her back to the house but do it slowly and with much care" said Anne firmly. Both men nodded as the moved to Laura lifting her gently and then moving her slowly toward the Rogers home.

The doctor had come and gone "She cannot be moved, she must remain her for the time being" said Dr.Prim with a slight frown. Thor step forward "Will she recover Dr. Prim?" he asked nervously. Dr. Prim just frowned "Mr Odinson I am not certain only time will tell other than that it's in the hands of God" Dr. Prim answered as he placed his hat on his head and left. The room was silent besides Anne and Mrs. Rogers preparing dinner for everyone. Barton stood up and placed a hand on Thor's shoulder "My friend don't worry she will be fine..the Rogers are happy to have her here and with Miss. Anne helping she will recover in no time" said Barton with a small smile. Thor just smiled but before he could respond Jane jumped up "Why would Anne stay she is nothing to dear Laura" Jane screamed making everyone wince. Anne just shook her head and she and walked out of the room.

Barton just frowned as Jane Odinson just prattled on and on how she was the one to take of Laura because they were sisters and how her nerves couldn't taken it be away from her dearest sister. It was decided that to keep the peace Anne would travel with Wanda and then inform Mr. And Mrs. Odinson about their daughter and than she would travel on to Bath to be with her siblings Sir Tony and Elizabeth.

The next morning Anne was waiting for the carriage with Wanda. When Captain Barton walked up with Captain Barnes. Both men bow to the ladies "We have come to wish you both fond farewell" said Captain Barton while he removed his hat. Wanda who was gripping Anne only gave a slight nod she had been silent all morning. Anne knew Wanda was in a slight shock over the accident and seeing her twin in such a state. Anne gave a small smile at Captain Barton and Captain Barnes "I thank Captain Barton and Captain Barnes for coming to see us off and I must ask how is Miss. Odinson doing this morning any change?" she asked both men frown and looked down as they shook their heads. Captain Barnes stepped forward "Unfortunately, no change Mrs. Rogers was with all night just to be there in case she woke up but she has night" replied Captain Barnes. Anne narrowed her eyes and frown "Why did Mrs. Rogers stay Miss Laura and not my sister" asked Anne. Both men looked at each "Mrs. Odinson was overcome with nerves after about an hour and needed to lie down to calm her poor nerves" replied Captain Barton in a irritated tone.

Anne sighed and rolled her eyes at her sister's actions "Of course my poor sister has always had a sensitive nature especially when there is work to been done" Anne replied shaking her head. Both men let out a little laugh but quickly covered it up as if they were coughing. Anne looked at Captain Barton who was looking back at her, he looked so handsome stand there in the morning light in his Captain's uniform. Just then footman came up to them "Miss Stark the carriage is ready to depart whenever you are ready" said the footman with a bow. Anne pulled her eyes away from the Captain to the footman "Thank Drax tell Quill that we will depart shortly after we tell our farewells to the Captains" replied Anne. "Yes Miss Stark" said Drax as gave a bow and moved towards the carriage. Anne turned back to the group " Well I guess we so make our leave Captains I do hope we can meet again soon especially in better circumstances than we leave you" said Anne with a small curtsy. Both men nodded when Captain Barnes stepped forward "Of course Miss Anne it has been such a great pleasure to have meet hopefully in the future we can get to know each other better and I promise to look out for Miss Odinson as well and help her in the recover. Goodbye Miss Anne I wish you well on your travels" said Captain Barnes as he took her hand and placed a small kiss on her hand.

Anne blushed " Thank you Captain Barnes for everything" replied Anne. Anne looked over to Captain Barton who was glaring at Barnes then he looked at Anne and gave her a small smile. Captain Barton held out his arm to Anne "Here Miss Stark let me help in the carriage" he said. Wanda was already in the carriage thanks to Barnes and was sitting there stone face not saying a word to either men. Anne took Barton's hand to have him so close was so calming after all the chaos from the past few days. But all to soon she as in the carriage next Wanda. "Farewell Captain" said Anne looking to his eyes which were a calming blue. "Farewell Miss Stark" replied Barton as he shut the door. Anne watched him her heart and soul breaking as the carriage drove away.
