Noemi paced around Daniel's bedroom as he began making lunch in the kitchen. Meeting Daniel Ricciardo's family was definitely not on her 2024 bucket list, but yet here she was. Daniel had reassured her several times that they were very nice and welcoming people, However that did not calm her nerves.

Her outfit was the most recent thing she was overthinking, Peering out of the bedroom door Noemi wanted to get another look at what Daniel had chosen to wear: A T-shirt and casual shorts. Sighing she walked over to the room her belongings were staying in. A thorough dig through her suitcase resulted in her wearing a light pink T-shirt bought from a shop back home as well as a pair of white shorts.
Her hair was the next problem, looking at herself in the mirror she gently removed her curls from the bun she had slept in; as she reached for her straightener, she realized she had forgotten to pack it ... great. Noemi rummaged through her hair and makeup bagging hoping she had packed her hair mousse. She let out a sigh of relief after finding the familiar purple bottle. Depositing a small amount into her hand she ran it through her curls, killing whatever frizz was left from the night. Finishing her hair with a few scrunches to give her curls a little more definition. Makeup was not an issue, she put it on as she usually did: the bare minimum. Curled lashes, mascara, a little blush, and a berry colored tinted lip balm.
She looked good for a first encounter with his family. Natural hair accentuating that she was Italian, as if the fact she had an obvious accent wasn't going to give it away first.

The nervous butterflies in her stomach increased as she walked out of the bedroom and into the kitchen with Daniel.

"Hello beautiful," He said with a smile, looking up from the cucumber he had been cutting, "I'm making a cucumber salad for you, I saw you say it was you favorite in an interview I watched." He remarked before returning to the cutting board with a half cut cucumber on it.

It was true. Noemi had said in an interview that cucumber salad was her favorite, "Wait," She said with a slight laugh, "You watch interviews of me?" She asked with a smile.

"Of course I do, I enjoy hearing you speak," He paused fighting back a laugh, "Especially with that accent."

"Are you making fun of me?"

"No no no, not at all." Daniel explained, his tone becoming serious, "I like the accent, its attractive."

"Thank you." She responded with a smile before walking over to Daniel, "I watch your interviews too." She stated, looking down at the floor shyly.

"I know you like the accent." He added jokingly, causing Noemi to laugh.

"Yes I do." She paused, "I wonder what accent our children would have?"

Daniel raised an eyebrow at her question, pulling her close to him by the waist, "I think it would depend on where we raise them."

"Monaco?" Noemi asked, "Since we both live there."

"I was thinking more like Perth," Daniel whispered leaning into a kiss.

"Mmm," Noemi hummed, breaking their short kiss, "From what I've seen so far, I agree." She responded with a smile, taking a slice cucumber from his cutting board and eating it.

Daniel and Noemi were sitting on his couch watching a replay of one of their races as a knock on the door came. Daniel shot up, walking over to the front door to open it for the guest.
