My family wait by the airport gate, tears forming in their eyes. I hug my family tight, saying a sad goodbye to my mum, dad and siblings. I walk towards the gate and scan my ticket. I begin boarding the aircraft.
As the plane begins to depart from the terminal, I wave goodbye to my family and the life that I have lived for 19 years. As the plane lifts off the runway, my brain is filled with memories. We fly over a park that I used to play at when I was younger. I am left with nothing. Flying to a foreign country with nobody is really hard and it's going to be a challenge. I really hope I've made the right decision.
After coming to a cruising altitude, I fell asleep. Around 10 hours later, I woke up hoping that Jet lag wouldn't be too much of an issue. The plane was going into a descent towards the runway.
Finally, we had landed. My new journey has officially begun and there is no going back now...
