"Hey, Koga? What are you reading?" The light brown-haired girl leaned over to try and get a glimpse of the book he was reading.
He chuckled, lowering it for her to see a bit. "Another murder mystery novel. They are just investigating the body."
"Cool!" As she read silently with him, she noticed a specific dialogue of the main character being completely rude to others and throwing accusations to everyone else as they were skeptical. "Huh, isn't that kind of mean?"
"Well, yeah, but I honestly don't blame them." Flipping through a page, he continued. "When you are in a room where a potential killer is in the room with you, you are allowed to be suspicious and skeptical of everyone."
"But... why?"
"It's best that way, Sumi. You can't let your guard down around everyone." He muttered, ruffling her hair. "If I were in that situation, I'd probably do the same thing as them. I know being quite mean or selfish is incredibly a hateful act to do, but it's the realistic thing to do to think for your own safety."
"Huh, my teacher always said that being selfish all the time is a bad thing..." She muttered, frowning in confusion
"Sometimes, being selfish is not a bad thing. You just have to be careful at times when you should be selfish." Koga smiled. "But don't worry, you are still young to understand. Maybe when you are the same age as me, you'll get it."
"...Alright!" Sumire smiled before the two continued to read the novel together.

As everyone was beginning to compose themselves and talking about of what to investigate, Sumire watched as Makoto knelt down to Junko's body. She immediately looked away as the sickening sight of blood and the spears inside of her made her sick completely.
She took a quick glance before looking away as Makoto touched her wrists to check for a pulse before confirming it to everyone.
"...She...really is dead."
Byakuya chuckled darkly. "I don't know why you even bothered to check. After those injuries, and losing that much blood... Frankly, I'd be shocked if she *did* survive something like that."
Sumire thought. 'Definitely. Besides, if she did survive, she'll lose too much blood anyway and die slowly. Ugh, that is disgusting!'
"H-Huh...? H-Hold on..." Hiro muttered before panicking with genuine fear. "H-H-H-Hold o-on! J-J-Just w-wait a second! Sh-She's...dead!? Then that means...! That means everything that's happened so far is real!? It's not a joke or whatever!? It's really real!?"
"Hell no! S-Someone save me! Let me outta here! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!"
"You're j-just now accepting that...?" Toko glared in annoyance.
"That was such a late reaction." Sumire deadpanned at him. 'He's older than any of us... yet he's a little bit more deluded... and... stupid... Wait, that's mean. Sorry, Mr. Hagakure."
Kyoko suddenly spoke up with her arms crossed. "Before we start searching for Sayaka's killer, we need to decide what to do about securing the crime scene."
Makoto stood up, turning to her. "What do you mean...?"
Byakuya said, adding to her statement. "You're thinking of putting someone on guard duty so nobody can disturb the area, aren't you? After all, if the culprit decides to destroy the evidence, we're pretty much screwed."
