CHAPTER 35

"Good morning angel, rise and shine" Zhenya chirped clapping his hands to wake the angel as opening the curtains didn't do much to bring Taekjoo out of his sleep.

"Uhhh what...?" Taekjoo sat up rubbing his eye, a bit annoyed with the noise the bastard demon was making.

"I have business to take care of and you're coming with me" Zhenya stood with his arm folded and a grin on his face.

"What?" Taekjoo blinked as the sleep vanished from his eyes

They arrived at a scheduled location with Zhenya carrying the angel.

The demon prince, Zhenya, entered the room with a confident stride, Taekjoo following quietly behind him. The minotaur and mermaid, who were waiting for him, bowed their heads in greeting.

The mermaid immediately caught Taekjoo's eyes, The mermaid's body was smooth, the iridescent scales clinging to her torso and arms like delicate armor. Her form was lithe, with a slender yet strong build, allowing her to slither gracefull on land and glade majestically in the water.

She possessed an aura of captivating beauty, her features delicate and refined.

She was beautiful.

Taekjoo was staring until Zhenya spoke firmly, "Let's get to business, shall we? I don't have all day."

The minotaur spoke up, his voice deep and gruff. "We appreciate you meeting with us, your highness."

The minotaur's frame was massive, his body covered in thick, dark fur. He was built like a mountain, his muscles rippling with every move. A septum ring adorned his nose, a testament to his rugged, uncompromising nature.

Zhenya sneered, "Don't flatter me, I'm only here because you both owe me a favor," he said, looking at both the minotaur and the mermaid.

The mermaid held out a glowing golden orb in the palm of her hand. "Here is what you requested, your highness," she said as she lowerd her head.

The minotaur, looking embarrassed, spoke up next. "Ah, sorry your highness, we've had some difficulties gathering the item you requested. It'll take more time, I'm afraid." The minotaur king was visibly sweating.

Zhenya's eyes narrowed. "Difficulties, you say? And how much more time, exactly, do you think you'll need? and how much is a little more time? A day? A week? A month?"

The minotaur seemed like he was about to speak, but the mermaid cut in quickly. "He can have it for you within a week, your highness. That's the best he can do." The mermaid moved her gaze to the minotaur with a frown on her face, she just did a solid for the buff bastard.

Zhenya studied the two mythical creatures for a moment, pondering their words. Finally, he let out a frustrated sigh. "Fine. One week, and not a day more. If you disappoint me, there will be.... consequences."

The minotaur and mermaid exchanged nervous glances, before nodding their heads in agreement.

Zhenya, still upset with the minotaur's delay, suddenly spoke up again. "Ah yes, and one more thing. A little reminder just so you don't disappoint me again ."

The minotaur, who had started to relax slightly, tensed up again at Zhenya's words. "Y-yes your highness?"

Zhenya's face twisted into an angry snarl, and he stepped forward, his hand clenching into a fist.

The minotaur, realizing what was about to happen, braced himself but was unable to react in time. Zhenya's fist shot out, connecting with the minotaur's face and sending him tumbling back several feet.

Taekjoo, who had been watching the scene unfold quietly, couldn't help but gasp in surprise at Zhenya's sudden violence. He took a small step backward, the expression on his face mirrored the horror and shock of the situation.

"Well" Zhenya spoke straightening his attire "I guess we're done here, see you next week....Cerberos"

Zhenya turned his heels walking away with Taekjoo behind him.

The meeting hall was empty, the minotaur and the mermaid left inside as the demon prince was long gone.

"Tch that fucker, who does he think he is" the minatour exhaled angrily with steam leaving his nostrils.

"Well he's the demon prince" the mermaid's voice calm and soothing unlike the minatour's angry tone.

She continues "we owe him a favour and we're repaying him, you on the other hand couldn't keep to your end. Are all your species disappointments as yourself?"

The mermaid turned away staring into nothing, she'd love to go home but she wants to stay away from all the royal duties she had on her plate for a little while, even though it includes her having to listen to the loud minatour's complaints about the crown prince.

"How dare you....." the minotaur looked down at the mermaid who he was taller than.

"You did disappoint the prince today, did you not?" The mermaid with a nonchalant expression didn't give a glance to the minotaur who was fuming.

"I-"

"Well you didn't fulfill what was requested, that's all that matters" the mermaid cut him off

Heaving a sigh the mermaid closed her eyes

"I hope you aren't ignorant on the fact that the demon prince was carrying around an angel" the mermaid turned to the minatour's direction looking at him with her piercing blue eyes.

"Of course i did, but i dare not let my gaze linger to avoid trouble I'm already in" the minatour crossed his arms over his chest.

"I've heard they've even shared the bed" the mermaid chuckles lightly with a mischievous glint in her eyes

"Don't be ridiculous Pisces and don't get any funny ideas if you want to keep your crown and head intact" the minatour warned.

"Ridiculous? Oh... Cerberos Cerberos Cerberos, tsk tsk tsk. That demon is a mad man. Him and his entire family down to the mothers, all psychos. I must say the genes pass on quite well." She chuckled tucking her hair behind her ears giving view of her defined jawline.

She continues "You're the one ridiculous to think he wouldn't sleep with the angel, demons are vile and disgusting creatures who enjoy the trill, you of all people should know that Cerberos."

The minatour king gave a mocking smile and spoke up, his voice gruff and irritated.

"You're not wrong, you know," he said, still not looking at the mermaid. "Demons are vile and disgusting creatures. But you're not much better, mermaid."

Pisces smirked as a vein had appeared on her neck, she tried to play it cool as she had been insulted by an ugly beast who looked like he was built from rocks and shit

" well i must get going as i have my own things to attend to, you had better get going to get the items the Prince's need 'if you wish to keep your crown and head ' Cerberos..."

With a smug smile the mermaid exited the place going into the river not too far away

"Tch i hate other species, so full of themselves, Egocentric demons and devious mermaids."

The minatour king leaves to his own business.
