PRESENT...
All the students, staffs and guests, everyone was gathered at the auditorium. It was built after Sanyukta's batch left the college so it was a new place for them. The girls were looking at it. They're feeling so proud looking at the growth of the college.
Soon Maya came with some guests. Everyone stood up in their respect. Soon they settled down on the stage and the rest on their seats."May I have your attention please?
Passion... We often hear this word. We also know it's meaning. Some people have very close connection with it while some are very far away from it. People can be passionate about different things with different levels of passion. And then come people who's passion is their way of living. They are so passionate that they are drowned into it every moment of their life. They say they'd die rather than living without any passion. And I personally believe we all have a reason to live on this planet.
There's was such person who was so passionate about his work that there wasn't a smallest space remained in his room to step or on a wall of his room to write a letter. When u entered his room a strong smell of oils, greases and smoke immediately hit ur nose making u dizzy and his table was full of small machines and instruments than pen and paper. "SY smiled sadly as nostalgia hit her.
" Professor Vardhan Suryavanshi. The professor who was a whole walking institution of knowledge, courage and empassion.
Respected chief guests, dignitaries, the staff, Dean ma'am, alumni and all the students, I Priyali Sharma well Come you all to the celebration of the existence of Professor Vardhan Suryavanshi through his work, his legacy and memories, 'Vardhan.'
Very first of all, without much a do, I would like to request our Dean and all the chief guests to garland the picture of Professor Vardhan and light the lamp to start the event from the legend himself to give him honor. "Maya and the main guests went and did so. They settled back quickly.
" I was not fortunate enough to see the legend by myself but had heard about himself a lot from some people who were lucky to share same space with himself and every time I think how it would feel to do so. His work, his thoughts, his ideologies, his teachings, his mentorship, everything..
Let's know professor Vardhan in real. Let's hear his stories from all those people by themselves. Let's know about Professor Vardhan in their own views. "
Priyali called the chief guests one by one. They all shared their experiences with Vardhan. Students were so curious that they're listening everyone fully engrossed. The alumni were feeling so nostalgic listening about their favorite teacher and mentor. They all got very emotional. The Priyali called Maya."Respected chief guests and all the dignitaries, along with everyone sitting down on the chairs, very warm welcome to all.
It's been seven years since Vardhan left his body and kept his soul here. I believe Vardhan can't go anywhere. I believe he's here. Past 7 years were very hard for this college. The college went through so many ups and downs. But it's standing firm on its place like it has always been. All thanks to the people who didn't gave up on it. Students, staff, trusties. Everyone. Today FITE is shining bright is all because of you. "
The DT smiled fondly.
" Today, I'll not speak as a Dean but as a person. Cos this is not related to academics but to the great personality who had devoted his whole life for this collage.
It took lot of efforts for me to bring back the glory of college after it's collapse. I was very busy for few years until I sorted everything out. I always missed Vardhan in this journey. He was my strongest pillar. He was my dearest friend. He helped me every time I needed it. We worked in every possible way to retain the position of the college. Till he was here, the college was always far away from any type of problems.
He always thought about the collage. Firstly and lastly. His whole life was invested here. He studied here and then taught here till his last breath. He was very passionate about his work. He was always thinking about engineering. He was living engineering. He loved his work the most in his life. He was very sincere about it. He loved teaching to students. He wanted to create students who'll grow up and help the society with their knowledge. That they'll make lives of people easy. That they'll work for betterment of mankind.
Vardhan was very different. He was never into stable job, money, family, settlement, easy life. He just wanted to follow his passion and work hard for it no matter what ever takes for it. He was one of the people who live for others and not for themselves. FITE was his home and people here were his family. And students...
He used to call them his children. He was very strict with them but he loved them equally. He wanted his students to be good humans. It was very very tough to impress him. There were very few students whom he personally liked. The students who were equally passionate about their work. His punishments were extreme. All the students were scared of it. That's why no one had courage to say No to him.
Still, Vardhan was very soft hearted. He was sensitive. He did understand problems people around him had. Including students. He had helped countless students to get out of the situation without even knowledge of anyone. He liked genuineness. He liked honesty. He liked hard work. He liked passion.
No matter how much I speak about him, it's impossible to tell anyone what Vardhan was. Only people who knew him know what he was.
So I think I should just stop here. Since we have to enjoy other events also.
Everyone, pls enjoy the event. Hope you all personally participate in all the events
Let's begin this never ending journey of celebrating the memories of Vardhan.
Have a great time. "
