9. Memories bring back memories bring back You...

RD's heartbeat increased as the car ran. He knew the area. The roads. The houses.
He looked at SY in shock.
She just simply smiled.

"U need to finish the unfinished. "
Was all she said.

He shook his head. SY didn't said anything but looked straight. The car stopped in front of a bungalow. RD was looking down at his lap. His palms were knitted into tight fists. He was fighting with himself. SY looked at him. She understood his situation.

"Come on Randhir. We need to get out. "
She said and patted his shoulder. He looked at her. His face had mixed expressions of fear, anxiousness, miserability and guilt. He was looking like a small lost child with pleading puppy eyes. She nodded to him. He shook his head again. SY waited for him, his action.
RD's face was all sweaty. The AC in the car didn't helped him to cool down. He wiped it with his hands. He looked here and there. Took some deep breaths. Bit his lips several times. When he didn't knew what to do he gave up and looked at her for answers. She smiled and held his hand. He left a deep sigh. He removed his hand from hers. He turned towards the door opened it. He got out.
SY was at her seat watching him. An admiring smile was spreaded on her face. RD didn't looked back at her though. Rather he was looking only forth. He forgot the world around him in just a little moment. He went towards the big main gate of the bunglow. He hesitantly touched it. He looked at it thoroughly in amusement like he was checking if it's still in same condition. SY had came out till now after telling the driver to park the car inside once they're in.
RD slowly raised his hand towards the handle and twisted it open. He pushed it a little and went in. He was looking like a small kid coming back to home after finishing the school eager to see his mother.
Yes they're home. SY had brought RD to his home back. After whole 2 years. The place where he had made endless memories. Good, bad, worst, bitter,sweet....
All the memories were flashing in front of his eyes one by one as his feet were marching towards the main door of the bungalow. He gave few glances at the garden. It was well maintained and cared. It was green and fresh. Flowers were bloomed even in the hot season, like shouting their existence. RD felt a different type of calmness after watching them. A bitter but calm smile acquired his face. He was feeling it. To bloom in adverse atmosphere.. when things are not in ur favour and u have to struggle to keep it up. As he was struggling that time..
SY was walking behind him while keeping a little distance from him to let him have his time and adjust with his emotions. She was watching him carefully to read what he was feeling at the moment. She was relieved when she saw him smile a bit while looking at the garden.

RD was almost there at the main door when he came out of his thoughts and looked ahead. He started looking at the door, the wall of the house. It was still the same as it should. He took a deep breath and raised his hand towards the bell but before he could press it, the door was opened.
A man in his late 30s was on the other side of the door.

"Randhir Bhaiya....aa gaye aap..."
The man said.

Randhir was looking at the man in surprise.

"Ranjan bhaiya aap? Yaha kaise?
Chachaji kaha hai?"
He asked.

"Hai. Andar hai Baba. Aap aaiye to sahi.. Bahar hi khade rahenge kya?
Kitne dino baad aye hai...
Samaan kaha hai aap ka?
Laiye mai andar rakh deta hu."
The man said in excitement and joy.

"Nahi. Samaan nahi laya maine..." RD shortly replied.
The man looked at RD in confusion.

"Wo Sanyukta ne surprise rakha tha mere liye. Muze nahi pata tha ki hum yaha aa rahe the."
RD quickly held the situation in his hand.
Only after mentioning about SY, the man finally looked at her who was standing behind RD.
Meanwhile RD went lost looking inside the house.

"Are ha ha. Baba ne bataya tha muze inke baare me. Aaiye na didi. Aap piche kyu khadi hai?"
Man finally invited her inside with a smile. SY smiled back to him.
RD gathered himself and turned to her and held her hand in his.
