Chap 48!

Anas and Rija reached the Jeon mansion and as they entered Mrs. Wooshik welcomed them.
"Oh my babiesssssssssssss!", she said in excitement....
"Halmoniiiiiiiiii!", Anas yelled like child and hugged her.
"Halmoni meet Rija, ur grand daughter in law!", Anas said and Rija pulled down her veil to meet her.
"Woah, is this pretty girl really ur wife kookie!", Mrs. Wooshik asked in shock.
"Yes isn't she pretty she is ur grandson's choice!", Anas said while hugged her from side and Rija blushed madly.
"She is drop head gorgeous. Come-on lemme take u to Wooshik ever since I told him u both will come to visit us today he hasn't been normal. I am sorry to laugh but that man had a life taking heart attack yesterday, I can't believe haha!", she said and Anas laughed.
"Astagfirullah halmoni. Come on let's go!", Anas said and she took her to their room.
Mr. Wooshik was sitting on the bed and as he saw Anas and Rija a big smile appeared on his face.
"My children!", he said happily.
Anas went and hugged him then said,
"I am warning u grandpops dare to leave me this time and I won't forgive u!"
"Haha now that I have seen u being here with me don't worry I won't leave u that quick. Right now I have to see ur children as well!", he said and both Rija and Anas's eyes widened.
Then Anas introduced Rija to Mr. Wooshik and he loved her alot.
"Aerinnnnnnnnnn look at this girl she is just like a doll!", Mr. Wooshik said to Ms. Aerin.
"Haha I know Wooshik she is just adorable!", Ms. Aerin said.
"My beloved daughter, if ur man ever tried to tease u or annoy u, u will tell me straightly." Mr. Wooshik said and Rija laughed.
"Ah uh, harabeoji u teamed up with Rija huh, no worries I have my halmoni.", Anas said and then went to hug her. She also caressed his face and said,
"I am with both of u my kids. My adorable babies!", she said.
"Kookie why don't u and Rija shift with us, and y don't u now take over the business.", Mr. Wooshik said.
"Harabeoji, can I plz get some time. I mean this is kinda difficult for me to accept that I finally have a family. I need to digest this and also the circumstances in which I got married to Rija I need time to relax my mind. Don't worry I am not saying I won't take over things but I need time.", Anas said to which Ms. Aerin replied,
"Take ur time son but plz it's a request don't punish us for what ur parents did."
Anas hugged her and said,
"Never, u both r just like my lungs. Now I can't breathe without u both!", and both the grandparents looked at him affectionately.

Around 10 pm they reached back home as were really tired.
"Rija let's first offer Salah then rest.", Anas said and she nodded.
First Rija went to bathroom to freshen up. She came back wearing Anas's white hoodie and trousers. A smile crept on his face and he stood up and walked towards her then asked,
"Why do u wear my clothes when u know they won't fit u?"
"I like it that's why, I...I mean the material is good!", she said to which Anas laughed and said,
"Grow up little girl!", and patted her head then left for washroom where as Rija blushed hard.

She was waiting for him by sitting on the prayer mat and playing with the threads. Anas came and they both offered the prayer together. After that they laid on the bed. Anas's back was facing Rija's face so she pocked her finger on her arm to which he turned around and faced her,
"Yes?"
"Can I asked u something?"
"Remember rule no. 2?", he said and she giggled,
"Hehe yes!"
"Haha ask."
"What actually happened with ur parents?"
Anas got silent but then spoke,
"U really wanna know?"
And she hummed.
"My parents fell in love in university, and they married in the last semester. The marriage lasted for 10 years. And my parents were perfect couple. But suddenly my father started losing interest in my mother. He used to say she is turning old and isn't pretty like before. My mother used to work so hard on herself to maintain her looks and figure. But my father started getting involved in other women. I was the one who caught him cheating and that day he beated me alot. My mother then also started looking for men. She used to work in a firm as secretary of the boss. A month later I found out my mother with that man. When my father got to know about this he decided to divorce my mother. I begged my father not to do this, give her a chance as he was also involved in the same act but I still remember how my father pushed me and my cheek scratched. U see this mark it is from that time on my face. I asked my mother to not leave me but she said she has a life aswell and can't waste it on me. I cried, begged, yelled, screamed but no one was there to listen to me. Both left and that night I stayed alone in my house crying and sobbing. Rija for a 10 year old boy empty house was just like a haunted house. I felt ghosts and spirits were with me that night. I locked myself in the bathroom and cried alot. I didn't get the idea when it came morning. Next day auntie Min Suk and auntie Eun Byul came to me and took me to the hospital becoz my condition was really worse. I didn't come to conciousness for 2 days becoz of that trauma. Then when I came to my senses, I found I was on hospital bed with Ibrahim, Junaid and both aunties with me. They both took care of and loved me more than my real mother. Auntie Min Suk asked from eomma and appa what happened and why was I in such a condition, but u know what they said in return, "Either take care of him or throw him in orphanage if he becomes a burden!". Can u believe it Rija my own parents said this about me.", he said but his eyes were filled with tears. Rija also didn't get the idea that she was also crying silently.
"What about harabeoji and halmoni?"
"I met them a few days ago. They told me at that time that for the first five years they both were told everything is fine between the three of us. My grandparents used to live in Canada. They used to visit us on holidays only but as I started growing that also decreased to twice to once a year becoz harabeoji had business over there. Then when the next five years started appa cut off all the ties and relations with his parents saying he has nothing to do with them now and they shouldn't bother him anymore. Eomma also refused to talk to halmoni. So harabeoji suggested halmoni to not disturb them ever again. Harabeoji shifted to Korea last year and ever since then he started finding me. The reason he shifted his entire business which took him 30 years to establish there he came here just for me. U know when I first met them I did cry alot but then decided to never see their faces again. But later I realized it was never their fault. They tried to be in contact with me as far as they could try but my parents are the real culprit. When I got the news harabeoji got a severe heart attack my heart felt as if someone cut it into pieces. That fear made me realize how much I love them that I don't want to lose them again."
"So why don't u live with them?"
"I need time Rija like I said before. Things r a little complicated for me and I want to give time to u aswell. U also know our marriage wasn't normal one. I want to understand u better, know u better and then I want to give time to my grandparents."
"Anas listen to me. Ur entire life u were deprived of these relations. Now when u get a chance please don't let it go. I am here for u, and I will never leave ur sight. I don't care whether our marriage was normal or not but now I am ur wife and u r my husband. We will stay together till the end inshallah. But give time to them as well. Plz don't neglect them becoz of me. U know first time in my life I experienced the love of grandparents and this was something really different.", Rija said as she smiled.
"I will Rija I will just a little time. It's my request.", he said politely.
She nodded her head while smiling then Anas asked,
"Now u tell me story from ur side."
"Haha mine is really weird."
"I don't care, start telling me!".
"Okie so as I was the second girl born in my family after my aunt. My harabeoji had 7 brothers, then my father had 3 brothers and one sister, all my father's uncles had sons. Then my appa had all the sons and if u ask about my uncle's they all also have sons and also my aunt. I was the only daughter born after such a long period of time and this was kinda shocking thing for my father and all the family. My father was happy to have a daughter but my brothers weren't. Hassan oppa was really small so he loved me so much as she used to say eomma gave him a baby doll. My elder brothers hated the attention I was getting from my family. U know my eomma treated them like her own sons but they never respected my eomma. They used to mimic her, make fun of her, misbehave with her. There came a time when they started putting blames on my eomma that she beated them and becoz of this my appa beated my eomma. When appa wouldn't be at home my brothers used to beat me as well. They even tried to kill me by making me eat different things but Hassan oppa always used to come and save me. Then as I started to grow up my brothers started putting restrictions on me that I shouldn't go out or do things as the outer world is dangerous. My father thought that they r showing care but they just wanted me to sit at home and waste my life. On the insisting of my mother appa gave me permission to study at home. I was homeschooled my entire life. I started doing pardah when I was only 5. I really wanted to study in some school so I can see how the outer world looks but my brothers never let me. When I used to do even a slightest mistake they used to beat me...", Rija said but ended up crying. Anas's heart ached to see her like this and his hands were trembling. He quickly took her in his embrace and caressed her hair saying,
"Shhh Rija, those bad times have ended now. Plz don't cry. I am with u now and I promise I will make u achieve ur every dream...shhh"
"A...Anas I don't want anything from u except....a little respect, that's it.", she sobbed and Anas's eyes dropped tears.
"Everything will get alright!", he said rubbing her back.
