"That poor man," Iris said as she and Barry watched a stretcher carry away the driver who died when his car flipped over Mardon's.

"The way that fog came in," Iris continued, "I have never seen anything like it. Not since the attack on New York back in 2012."

"Barry!" Joe, who was in charge of inspecting the crime scene, said as he ran up to the two kids. "Iris."

"I'm all right, Dad," Iris said as Joe turned to face Barry.

"What the hell were you thinking having her out here?" Joe asked. Iris tried to defend Barry, but her father wouldn't listen. "And I told you, when you see danger, you run the other way. You're not a cop."

"Neither is Spider-Man, but he always swings towards danger," Iris argued. "He's a hero."

"Try telling that to Captain Stacy," Joe said before turning back to Barry.

"Joe, I need to talk to you," Barry said.

"It can wait."

"No, now." Once Barry and Joe were a few steps away from Iris so she couldn't hear, Barry began to confess.

"I know who did this," he said. "It's Clyde Mardon. I know everybody thinks he died in a plane crash after the STAR Labs explosion, but he's alive. All right, something happened to him that night.

"I... I think he can control the weather. The recent robberies, they all happened during freak meteorological events, right? And when I confronted Mardon, the street was instantly covered in fog."

After seeing the look on Joe's face, Barry immediately said, "Of course you don't believe me. You never do."

"Okay," Joe said, finally starting to snap. "You want to do this now instead of at home? Fine. Mardon is dead. There is no controlling the weather, Barry. Just like there was no lightning storm in your house that Halloween night. It was your brain helping a scared little boy accept what he saw."

"My dad did not murder my mom," Barry argued.

"Yes, he did!" Joe snapped. "Your dad killed your mother, Barry! I am sorry, son! But I knew it, the jury knew it, and now he's paying for what he did."

"Dad, enough!" Iris said, finally stepping in to help her friend.

"Unh-uh, Iris," Joe said to his daughter before turning back to Barry. "I have done my best to take care of you since that night, and I have never asked for anything in return, not even a thank you, but what I do ask now is that you for once in your life see things as they are and grow up."

Barry looked down. He knew what he saw on both events; the lightning in his house and Mardon creating the fog. Joe wasn't there. How did he know? Shaking his head, Barry began to walk away.

"You're not going to believe this," Eric Thawne said as he walked up to Joe, holding a piece of paper. "We got the eyewitness sketch of the robber from the bank."

He unfolded it, revealing a man in a baseball cap, wearing a leather jacket with some of his hair over his right eye.

"If I didn't know better, I'd say that's Clyde Mardon," Eric continued as he compared the sketch to Mardon's mugshot. It was an exact match.

"But that's impossible," Eric said. "He's dead, right?" Joe didn't answer. Instad, he looked in the direction Barry had left.

Was he telling the truth?

"I wasn't the only one affected by the Particle Accelerator explosion, was I?" Barry asked in fury as he entered the STAR Labs cortex, finding Dr. Wells, Caitlin, and Cisco all there.
