I leave the building for what feels like the 100th time today. "What do we do first?" He asks me. He turns around to face me. "Ok, first, put the jacket on that's in your backpack." I instruct. He drops his backpack to the ground and kneels down. He unzips his backpack but stops. "How did you know -" Rupert looks up mid sentence. He stops when he sees his jacket in my arms. I smile down at him. "That I knew about your jacket? First rule: when you want to steal something, you have to make sure they don't notice. Not until you have it well secured and hidden." He stands back up with his backpack. "Something they won't notice is gone until later." I finish my lecture. "Ok, I got it." He says, annoyed. I put up a finger. "First things first." I hold out my hand. "Give me the sunglasses." He opens his backpack and takes them out. He places them in my hand. I open them and put them on my head. "Try and take them off my head. Without me feeling it." I turn around and walk away. "Wait, where are you going?" He asks behind me. I turn around; he hasn't moved. I sigh. "Did you think I would take it easy on you? Or were you expecting to just be given all the stolen items in the future. That wouldn't suprise me here." I cross my arms. He drops his backpack. "Fine." He started to follow me. We went around the school multiple times, and he still couldn't do it. "You keep jerking them off of me. This is why you get caught." He sighs in annoyment. "You keep moving whenever I would try to grab it. That's why it feels like jerking!" He yells. I looked around to see if anyone was close enough to hear him. Which, thank goblins I did, because Doug was coming our way. I get closer to Rupert. "Oh, c'mon, in Auradon, you can be anything you want to be. As soon as I came here, I was filled with inspiration and passion. And I know you feel it too." I wave my hands around to help me sound even more enthusiastic. Rupert looks at me with disgust. "What's wrong with you?" I angle my head at him. Only he could see my facial expression. I give him a hateful look. "Play along." I say through my gritted teeth. I point with my eyes at Doug. He was very close to us now. "What do you say?" I say with my fake voice again. He walks around me; probably stalling for the right words. When Rupert turned, he hit Doug by accident. His books dropped. "Oh, goblins." I curse. I bend down to pick up the books. My legs folded under me. "It's ok, Rupert, accident happen." I say calmy. I stack his heavy books on my lap. I look up at Doug. "Are you alright?" I ask genuine. He fixes his glasses. "I'm fine, thanks." I stand and give him his books. Rupert had a look of anger and disgust. I turn to him. "Rupert, there is no reason to be upset. It was a genuine mistake." I tried to snap him out of it. He takes a deep breath. "It's ok, Rupert. I'm not mad." I place my hand on his shoulder. "That's ok, Doug. I'll take it from here." Doug walks away. "You better watch how you act, boy." I mutter at him. He rolls his eyes. "I only made you my pupil to help my reputation here. However, this was only available if I promised to help yours. Now suck it up, princess, and get your act together." I say in a soft tone. My annoyance was clear. He drops his hand. "What were you doing?" I asked, still annoyed. He raises the same hand. "Got the glasses." He waves it in his hand. I cock my head back. "I'm impressed, binks. I didn't know you had it in you." He looked cold again. "Yeah, thanks, teach." He says dryly. "And what's with the ridiculous nickname? 'Binks' " I shrug my shoulders. "You reminded me of a baby. And babies need binkies." He rolled his eyes. "Also, you're lucky that counted. I was distracted, and you took that opportunity. I'm impressed." I repeat. "Whatever, are we done?" He asks. I nod. He started to walk backward, away from me. "However, I'm keeping the shades," I placed the sunglasses that I stole from him on my face. "Next time you see me, try and steal them without me noticing." He looks down at his hand, surprised. "How did you -" I turn around and walk away. "All in time, my student. All in time." I say as I walk away.

I was sitting on my bed the next day. Wearing [The picture of the dress]. Jay walks in. He started to show off his new jersey. "Oh, wow. That will get the ladies' attention." I tease. Carlos whistles. He was sitting at Mal's bedside. Evie was sewing, and Mal was looking through her book. Jay walks over to Mal's bed. "Did your plan work with Jane? Are you going over to see the wand?" Jay asks. Mal stops looking through her book. She was piveved. "Do you think that I would be going through every single spell in this book if I hadn't completely struck out?" She looks back down at her book. "Someone's in a bad mood." Carlos stated the oblivious. "My mom's counting on me! I can't let her down!" Mal defends, stressed. I sit up in bed. "It can't be completely hopeless." I remind. "Well, let me know when an actual good idea comes to mind." Mal bites back. I look down. "We can do this..." We all turn to Jay. "..If we all stick together." I was slightly stunned by his hopefulness. "And we won't go back until we do." Mal reminds us. "Because we're rotten." She started. "To the core." We all chime. "Oh, yeah. I found out that Fairy godmother blesses Ben with the wand at coronation, and we all get to go." Mal perks up at that. "I have nothing to wear, of course." Evie finishes. She rolls her eyes, and there is a knock at our door. Mal still stared at Evie. "What?" Evie asks, confused. I stood up to get the door. "Hold that thought." Mal says behind me. I open it, and it's Ben. "Hey, Y/n." He greets with a smile. All of those pretty teeth would have never survived on the aisle this long. He looks into the room. He finds Mal. "I didn't see you guys today." He says when he looks back at me. "I was just wondering if you had any questions or anything that you needed." He looks back at Mal. If this was the aisle, I swear to Ursula - "Not that I know of..." I turn back to everyone. They shake their heads. "Nope." Mal answers. I look back at him. "Okay. All right." He gives one more glance to Mal. "Well, uh, if you need anything, just... uh, " Mal walks up to us. "Oh, wait." She stops him. I step back. "Um, is it true that we all get to go to your coronation?" Mal asks. "Yeah, the whole school goes." Ben answers. "Wow. That is beyond exciting." He smiles at her reply. This man can not be expected to rule as king if he can't even point out sarcasm. "Do you think that it's possible that the four of us could stand in the front row next to the Fairy Godmother, just that we could soak up all the goodness?" Good cover-up, Mal. I could tell he wanted to say, 'Absolutely'. However, he hits his hands. "I wish you could. Up front, it's just me, my folks, and my girlfriend." That caught Mal's attention again. "And your girlfriend?" She repeats. "Yeah. I'm sorry." She looks down to think for a split second. "Ok, thanks. Bye." She says as she closes the door in his face. "Oh, but, no, there's plenty of..." His voice trails off. I snickered. "I think it's time that Bennyboo got himself a new girlfriend." I could tell Mal was plotting something exciting in her head as she spoke. "And I need a love spell." I throw her her spellbook. "Well, let's do this then. I have been dying for some play." I smile big.
