When Cameron woke up the next day she felt like she was floating. Memories of last night hit her all at once, and Cameron couldn't really believe that any of it had actually happened. On the other hand, she was still very much eager to repeat them. Minus being screamed at, of course.
Gracie lay peacefully sleeping on her chest, one arm draped around Cameron's torso and the other tucked in close to her body. Cameron smiled as she looked down at her, trying to keep her thoughts as PG as possible, which was very difficult whenever Gracie was around her. Cameron slowly and carefully slipped out from under Gracie, trying not to wake her. She reached down off the side of the bed and grabbed her shirt from last night, picking it up and putting it back on.
Cameron walked into the bathroom and splashed some water on her face, rubbing out the sleep in her eyes. She brushed her teeth quickly and quietly, trying to make as little noise as possible. Once she was done she switched the bathroom lights off and took one last look at Gracie before she opened her bedroom door to head downstairs.
She walked down towards the kitchen, turning on the coffee maker and leaning against the counter. Cameron heard footsteps coming down the stairs and she turned her head around to see Madeline walking down, rubbing her eyes. Once Madeline saw Cameron a huge smile erupted on her face, and Cameron blushed lightly, looking away quickly.
"Mooorning." Madeline said, walking over to her.
"Morning." Cameron replied, trying not to smile.
"So. Out with it. I want to know everything." She said, leaning next to Cameron.
"Didn't you see everything?" Cameron asked, running a hand through her hair.
"Well. Hopefully not everything. For your sake at least. Come on! Tell me. How did it even happen?" Madeline urged, nudging Cameron.
Cameron smiled, "Well she came last night and she was really angry. She started screaming at me and rightfully so to be fair, and then well, I kissed her. And yeah. That's all I'm willing to share."
Madeline squealed, "Well! How do you feel?"
"Right now? Tired. Although that is subject to change as the morning progresses."
"Naturally."
The two of them sat in comfortable silence, both with a smile on their face. The coffee maker beeped and Cameron got up to removed the pot and pour herself some.
"Want any?" Cameron asked, reaching up to grab a mug for Madeline.
"Please."
Cameron poured her some and the two of them walked over to the sofa with their mugs. Sitting down and exhaling loudly, Madeline smiled and put a hand on Cameron's shoulder.
"So what does this mean? Are you two a thing now or..."
"I'm the wrong person to ask. I mean she was pretty mad last night before- you know. So it's really all up to her to decide."
"Well what do you want?" Madeline asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
"I want to be with her."
Madeline raised an eyebrow, "Wow. That good huh?"
Cameron smiled and raised her mug to her lips, "You have no idea."
Madeline starting laughing, I've never seen you like this before. You're so-"
"So what?"
"Whipped." Madeline said, smiling at her.
"I am not whipped."
