IMRAN

What's the time, Mirza Shah?" I asked, and he promptly replied,

"It's 11:00 AM, sir."

I inquired about the meeting attendees,

"Have they arrived?"

He responded,

"Not yet, sir. The meeting is still over half an hour away."

I instructed him to notify me when they arrived, and he asked if there was anything else he could assist me with. I dismissed him, saying, "No, you may go now."

As I continued reviewing a file, my phone rang, displaying a name that brought a wide smile to my face - Areeb Shahezaan, my best friend and half-brother.

I eagerly picked up the call, but before I could even greet him, he began playfully scolding me,

"Why are you not picking up my calls? Why have you been ignoring me?

"Bhai, if you stop shouting, I'll be able to answer your questions,"
I said with a chuckle.

"I know I've been busy with work and a new project, so I haven't had a chance to pick up your calls. Don't give me a hard time, Areeb!"

Areeb responded with his signature playful growl,
"Kutte saale, I'll kick you hard for ignoring me."

"Now, tell me, how are you, and when will you come meet me?" I asked, ignoring his threats.

"Soon, but not too soon," he replied. "I have a lot on my plate here."

By the way, how is your work going?? I asked rememberinng his struggles, He is a travel photographer, he loved photography, after many efforts his dad agreed for this.

Despite having a family business to inherit, his heart wasn't in it, he had chosen a different path. I couldn't help but think of the struggles he has faced to get where he was.

I couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride, knowing he had bravely pursued his passions, refusing to let anything stand in his way.

He replied with a proud smile, "It's going well... and you know..."

Just then, a knock on the door interrupted our banter. Mirza Shah entered, announcing,

"Sir, Miss Armani has arrived."

I instructed him,

"Show her to the meeting room. I'll be there in five minutes."

With a nod, Mirza Shah departed, leaving me to wrap up my call with Areeb.

"Who is she?" Areeb asked, his tone laced with playful suspicion.

"You've got a girlfriend and didn't even bother to tell me, bastard!"

I chuckled, slightly irritated. "Areeb, you're crazy! She's my business partner, that's all. We're having a meeting today about a project. Don't jump to conclusions!"

Areeb retorted with a laugh, "Oh, okay, brother, continue your "business" then. When I come to visit, I'll teach you a lesson for keeping secrets and ignoring me!" I rolled my eyes, not bothering to respond, and ended the call.

The day of the meeting finally arrived, and I was curious to see how she and her team had prepared. I spotted her sitting with her employees, engrossed in discussion.
