"Lily, it is almost finished! You need to leave, otherwise you will be further incriminated, they are already going to put you in the skybox." Jake griffin spoke fear laced each word.
"No! We are in this together I am not going to let you do this alone. We found it together, we will fight together." I spoke sternly. The video had minutes to finish, I concentrated so intently, willingly it to go faster.
The click of the door, we knew it was over. A flood of guards spread through the now open metal door to the engineers room.
"Jake Griffin, Lily Kane, you are under arrest for the defiance of the council orders and false spread of information." One guard spoke through the among the others.
They pushed forward, one sending a harsh blow to Jake's stomach. This caused me to react, the feeling of rage consumed every fibre. I threw a solid punch straight to the nose of the an approaching guard, blood flowed from his nose. Others advanced as I threw punch after punch. I was amidst an altercation with two, when a felt the pressure against my waist. My feet no longer held place on the ground my arms were pinned to my sides. It was my first time since the beginning of the fight that a took a breathe and realisation hit me of the damage I had caused. My fist throbbed, Jake in cuffs bruised and battered to the right of me.
"Stop struggling, little one" a deep voice spoke behind me. Before I could deliver a snide remake and attempt to break the embrace.
"Ah Kane, what a dooming day for you isn't. Defying the council not enough, you want to add battery to your charges." Shumway smugly spoke from the door way.
"Only because I knew I would be graced with your present if I threw a punch or two." I spat back.
"Nice work Blake, take her to the skybox. Be careful she can be quite the handful." Shumway spoke to my captor. "Oh Jake, this quite unfortunate for you. Please escort Me griffin to the sky lock. Your wife and the chancellor is waiting. Clarke is already in the sky box"
"Shumway, you will get what is coming to you. You corrupt asshole." Jake yelled to him.
The guards all moved out pushing Jake along with them, only leaving three including my captor.
He placed my feet to the ground, grabbing my upper arms and pulling them behind my back.
He swiftly pushed me up against the nearest wall, placing the cuffs around my wrist.
