A Silent Observer (Deku Angst)

So the exams begin

One week before exams:

For the last few weeks I focused on actually learning how to make things. I already had picked things up from watching other support students ever since I had stayed at UA. Not like I was allowed to make anything besides prototypes though.

Everyone had been busy with prepping for exams. That's all the group chat consists of as well. I never realized how much prep work it took. I mean they had to debate who announced what, what the hero course test even was, who proctored the exams, and I'm pretty sure that's just focusing on the hero course.

"Yo Power loader, question" I stated getting his attention. Right now I was just sitting on an empty crate again while I watched him work.

"Hm? What's up" He turned his head to me as he set down the tool he was using.

"I know Nezu said I don't have to but can I still take the support exam? It'll make it where I can meet probably classmates, and plus I find it unfair-" I started to ramble but was cut off with power loader raising his hand.

"I get it, you can't to prove yourself. So ya" That's all he said before he went back to work.

Exam day 3rd person:

It was finally time. Exams. Izu had figured out what the support test even was. Of course it was the normal written portion but for the practical, we each will get a random quirk description and we have to make an item that you think would be useful. Izuku was slightly disappointed that he couldn't figure out any more information than that.

The greennette had gotten there early considering it was only a like 5 minutes walk to the main building and like a 2 minute walk to the lecture hall the support applicants were meeting in. Probably helped that he knew exactly where it was. It was way smaller than the one the hero course was going to use but then again there are only like 200 people who want to be support vs like the thousand who are in hero.

He just sat there and waited. A minute later Izuku saw Vlad walk in and concluded he was most likely proctoring the written test. The small boy just smile and waved.

Vlad just looked at him and slowly waved back. Izuku knew that the teacher probably would rather be watching the heros take the test but it couldn't be helped where nezu placed him.

"Yo cause we still have a bit can you just wake me up when it time for the test?" Izuku asked smiling.

"If you were just going to fall asleep why get here 3 hrs early in the first place Midoriya?" The hero asked.

"Um cause I underestimate how long it would take me to get ready and get here" he said

"I'm not going to wake you up...just go to the group chat or something, I mean it's currently very active"

"Oh right! The group chat!"

Papa Mic: Yay!

Dadzawa: good

Midnight: Izuku!

Rat_God: Hello Izuku, I see you got to the exam early.

Papa Mic: wait your already here?!

Vlad: He is.

All Might is online

All Might: I am here!

Child: nuuh

All Might: what you mean Nu uh?

Child: Nu uh!

Papa Mic: pfffff

Child: Papa gets the reference U>U

All Might: you confuse me sometimes young Midoriya

Child: good, be confused

Vlad: I forget Midoriya doesn't like Allmight

All Might: he doesn't?

Dadzawa: *facepalms*

Child: forget the first time we met?

Allmight: oh ya....

Papa Mic: Dumb Might

Midnight: XD

Allmight: ok I deserve that

Allmight: wait your taking an exam? For what?

Child: don't worry it's not the hero course, you kinda crushed that dream for me

Vlad: Oh I see now

RAT_GOD changed Allmight's name to Dumb_Might

Dumb_Might: ok so I might diserive that

Child: you think?!

Vlad: ok Midoriya other students are arriving we should get off now...

Child: oh right! Bye bye people

Vlad and Child went offline

Izuku's pov:

I put down my phone to see about 20 other people in. All of them looked focused or nervous, except a girl with pink hair she looked extatic. Another hour passed and the lecture area was completely full. Soon enough Vlad handed out the test. Power loader also came in to watch for a bit and took down notes.

The test seemed mostly easy until the last few pages. I didn't even know how many pages there were but there was a lot. The last few had mostly advanced engineering questions. Thankfully I prepared for this. I mean I was out of school for 10 months so I had to fill my time and study somehow.

Once I was actually done with the test I handed it to Vlad. He just flipped through the test to make sure I filled out at the pages.

"Hm, I expected this from you...the next exam is in a few hours do whatever you want just get out of here" Vlad said signaling to the door.

"Ok Mr. Teach" I said waving to him and Power Loader. After that I just left and wondered the halls. They were so empty. I mean everyone was taking tests but still.

I casually made my way to where the hero course was taking their test. I knew both dads were proctoring the test. I peaked my head in to see everyone taking the test. No one noticed the door opening. Perfect. I slowly made my way to the teacher's desk and went under it.

I waited a bit for any of the teachers to notice me but they didn't. I held my laughter and just went into my pocket to grab my pencil. I slowly rolled it till it hit Papa's foot.

He looked down confused. Then he slowly made his way to the desk and around it. When he saw me papa had to cover his mouth in order to not make a noise. I just held my finger up for him to be quiet.

'sleeping bag?' I mouthed and pointed to dad. He just nodded and slowly got it for me. Somehow Dadzawa didn't notice. I causally just went into it and fell asleep.
