Dipper quietly groans at his frozen laptop, checking his internet connection for the third time in ten minutes. His essay was due in three hours, and he wasn't even halfway through editing.

"I think it's a sign that you should take a break, honey." His mother smiles.

"You might have a -"

"DIPPER!" Mabel screams from the door.

Dipper jumps to his feet and runs to his twin sister.

"What's going on?" He pants anxiously.

"Our letters are here, come on, bro-bro, open it." Mabel squels throwing Dipper an envelope.

Dipper sighs and looks at the envelope, Gravity Falls Community College. Over the last month, he had wanted nothing more than to get an acceptance letter, but last week, Mabel found a fashion college she wanted to go to instead. If he was accepted, the twins would be separated, Mabel home in California and Dipper with the Grunkles in Gravity Falls, Oregon. While Mabel was surprisingly okay with the situation, Dipper became less sure of his decision. Mabel takes notice of her brother and pulls him out of his thoughts.

"Hey," she says, grabbing his shoulders, "everything is gonna be fine. If you go, we'll see each other every holiday and break."

"And while I'm gone, you'll be okay?"

"Yes, I promise. Now let's open our letters."

They tear open the envelopes and slowly unfold the letters. Mabel gasps and runs to the kitchen.

"Mom, I got in! Oh my God, let me call dad real quick. Dipper, get in here!"

"So, what did they say?" Their mother prompts when Dipper enters the kitchen.

"They accepted me." Dipper smiles nervously.
