Threats, Talks and Treaties

After getting to an underground cavern in the skykingdom, as well as getting Queens Moorhen, and Ruby, to the cavern for a rather short notice meeting. The Queen of the Abyssalwings was ready to speak her peace. Well, at least speak it through Spirit's mindreading, as Maelstrom, along with her entire tribe, hasn't spoken in years. Talking too much could irreperably damage their throats. "Ruby." A voice from behind the large skywing caught her attention. "Moorhen, Thenk the moons maybe you can explain whats going on?" Ruby asked as the Mudwing queen landed at the entrance of the tunnel.

Moorhen's face, however, told Ruby that Moorhen didn't know anything more than she did. "I was hoping you could." Moorhen admitted with a slight sigh as the two royals entered the cave. Ruby did pause at seeing what she thought were seawing guards, but something seemed.... Off... about them. Ruby shook it off though, must be a trick of the light, especially with how dark these tunnels are.

Those hesitations came back the second that Ruby saw Queen Maelstrom. "Who is this?" Moorhen asked, looking at Maelstrom and noticing the newcomer's milky white eyes. "Is she blind?" Moorhen asked Thorn in a low voice. "I may be physically blind but I can still hear you." Spirit said from her spot besides Queen Maelstrom. Moorhen had been about to turn to reply when she realized it was Spirit who had spoken. "And what are you doing here?" Moorhne asked her. "She's my translator." Spirit said, not answering the question but still giving Moorhen the answer she needed. "And for your information I may be blind but I can still see." Maelstrom said rather indignatly.

Moorhen raised an eyebrow. "That doesn't make any sense." Moorhen said, confused. Maelstrom's lips turned into a slight smirk, and after a moment Spirit turned around to have her back to the Mudwing queen. "Put up any number of claws you desire." Spirit said, still being the literal mouthpiece for the Abysallwing queen.

Moorhen, still skeptical, decided to humor the newcomer. Moorhen put up three claws to start. "Three." Spirit said, causing a momentary pause in Moorhen. Moorhen then Put uo 2, 5, and 1 respectively. "Two, five and one." Spirit said without any hesitation. "Ok, that's creepy." Moorhen said, lowering her talon.

"I'll take that as a compliment." Maelstrom said. (for simplicity when I say maelstrom spok ejust assume it is speaking throug Spirit unless I specifcially state it otherwise lol) "Now, back to what I am here for, me and my tribe wish to reunite with the surface. We already have a home so no need to fret over taking space from anyone's territory. I just wish to establish peace with you. We..." Maelstrom paued for a moment, her head tilting as she tries to think.

"Well, perhaps it is best to start from the beginning, get everything laid out." Maelstrom folds her talons on the table, not missing the mark despite being without eyesight. "Your majesty." Spirit suddenly stated, but when Maelstrom looked at her she was poinitng behind Maelstrom at her guard. "Are you sure this is wise? We still do not know if we can trust them." This time the guard was the one speaking orally. Maelstrom stared at her guard for a long moment, with her face turneed away from the other queens they couldn't see the glare that Maelstrom was giving her guard, who quickly fell silent and took a step back, lowering his head to her.

"Trust us? Trust US?!" Thorn snapped. "WE weren't the ones who kidnapped a dragonet from your land!" Thon shouted, slamming both talons on the table and gettign right up in Maelstroms face, smoke coming out of her nose in small whisps. Maelstrom held her talon up and behind her to stop her guard, who had already taken a step forwards, beginning to grip his spear with both talons. "Sit. DOWN." Maelstrom said, Thorn's rage seemed to grow Before Maelstrom added. "Not you, Queen Thorn, my guard," Maelstrom said, waiting to hear her guard putting down his spear.
