Grace I snapped around to see Niklaus standing a few feet away from me "Klaus..." a hurt expression crossed his face "I hate it when you call me that" I looked away "well..." a silence "...what are you doing here? I thought you would have been with Marcel" he spat out Marcel's name "I was bored. Decided to take a walk" I said as I looked back to him. He crossed his arms "why come here?"
"Didn't plan to. Just happened" Niklaus looked at my swollen stomach, his hand reaching out and lightly brushing the fabric of my clothes "none of us ever thought we'd be able to have kids" an angry bitter feeling clenched my heart "yea well you proved that wrong didn't you" I sneered. Niklaus's hand hesitantly fell back to his side "...I never meant for this to happen"
I scoffed "Yes, because it's so hard to keep it in your pants" "that's not fair Grace" my eyes widened in anger "not fair? Not fair!? No! What's not fair is to find out that people who were supposed to love me just couldn't wait to jump into bed with the next woman who paid them any attention!" Niklaus backed away at my yelling "what's not fair is knowing that the father of the child growing inside of me is falling for yet another woman that gives him any attention!"
An angry scream escaped my mouth "I mean god! It seems like the only man I can trust is Marcel!" I turned back to Klaus, my face red from anger but it slowly dissipated as I saw Klaus. His head down, staring at the floor, a sad expression on his face. This wasn't a person I knew. Throughout any life Klaus had never back down to anyone, not even to any of my past lives. I let out a sigh
"...Grace, I'm sorry that we've hurt you. Had we known you were out there, we would have burned the world down to find you. I know that's no excuse for our wrongs but please know that...while we may have been with other women, they never would or will compare to the love we feel for you..." Niklaus hesitantly looked up at me after saying that. I felt so conflicted, I wanted to be mad, but I also missed them so much "Finn and Kol should be here tomorrow if you wished to see them..."
I let out a sigh, closing my eyes as I could feel a headache forming "...I need time to think about things" Niklaus looked hopeful "this doesn't mean I forgive you" Niklaus nodded quickly "I have to get back to the Abattoir. Sun's beginning to set" I said as I looked at the beautiful hue of warm colors in the sky "let me take you back" Niklaus suggested quickly. I was hesitant to agree "...ok. But don't think this gets you any points" Niklaus smiled "wouldn't dream of it Love"
