The door was quickly locked by Harry, and Jade huddled in the corner motionless. She was very smart and knew what had just happened without anyone having to explain.

Looking at his parents and younger brother who were lying limply on the ground, Jade smiled happily.

"I know what you want to ask me."

Harry grabbed her collar, not wanting her to say anything that might irritate Brandon. The girl's figure was shaken violently, but Jade smiled more happily.

"You beat them all to death, I will tell you."

Two hours later, Harry said that Jade was willing to talk.

Brandon had never heard of the place named Central Town.

He had been to even the most remote terrains due to his mission, but this small town on the edge of City C was strangely bypassed. If it weren't for the fact that Crystal might be hiding here, he might not have been here.

Perhaps because of the continuous rain, the only dirt road leading to Central Town was soaked in water and turned into a puddle of mud. The bus was out of service again. There was no other way. Brandon could only bite the bullet and step on the accelerator. Olivia, who was sitting in the co-pilot seat, felt so much pain that her valuable car was roaring in the mud. If nothing happened, it would soon turn into a pile of scrap metal.

Olivia rested nearby for a while and then quickly returned. She cursed in her heart; even if Brandon didn't want this car, he couldn't waste it like this, so it would be better to give it to her.

Fortunately, after a lot of effort, the group finally arrived at Central Town.

The size of this town is simply small and a bit shabby. Apart from the two streets as far as the eye can see, there are small, loose bungalows.

Calling it a town is a bit reluctant.

In order to avoid alerting the enemy, Brandon asked Harry and the others to stay nearby for a few days. This careful operation was like a special arrest. Brandon laughed dumbly. Why did it involve so much effort?

In fact, he didn't know whether he should believe Jade or not. Even if Jade was telling the truth, he was not 100% sure that Crystal would appear in Central Town.

Now, he is just urgently seeking medical treatment.

He is of mixed race and was born with white hair. Therefore, every time he attends an event, he has to dye it the common brown-black color and wear eye protection: dark brown contact lenses.

He did not wear contact lenses today because his eyes would hurt every time he wore them. Brandon was now wearing a pair of black sunglasses to completely cover his red and swollen eyelids.

Brandon slowed down his pace, especially, but he visited the entire Central Town in just a moment. He silently carried the map of the town, which might come in handy later.

When he is anxious, he likes to memorize something.

If I keep searching like this, I don’t know when I will find her.

He was afraid that Crystal would be here and that he might scare someone off, so he didn't dare let Harry lead the search. He was even more afraid that Crystal was not here, that there was false news that Jade said, that Crystal was dead and died in a serious accident... and that rebirth was just his fantasy.

If he really couldn't think about it, if Ava's news irritated her, if Sophia's people pushed her too far, if she had another accident and was really buried on a cliff...

It's not often that outsiders come to Central Town. The terrain here is remote, and the economy is underdeveloped. The residents here seem to be more alert than Brandon imagined.

Abnormal alertness.

Brandon dressed in a low-key manner and had no sense of presence in his movements. Several alert residents looked at him for a while and found no flaws, so they lowered their heads and went about their own business.

This level of surveillance was nothing to Brandon. He opened a store door and walked in.

It looks like a photo studio. The interior decoration is very warm, which is completely opposite to the dilapidated facade. On the walls on both sides are hung a variety of wedding photos, and some children's birthday photos. Both in terms of clothing texture and photography techniques were all outdated years ago, but they still attracted Brandon to stop and watch.

The owner of the photo studio saw his serious look and stepped forward to introduce herself.

"Hello, sir, do you need to take wedding photos? Our store is currently holding an event, and you can enjoy a 39% discount."

Brandon frowned slightly.

"I do not need..." The owner of the photo studio obviously didn't realize that this sir was rich enough to not need a discount, so she just thought he was here to take other types of photos.

"That's it... We also have a lot of artistic photos in the store. Let me show you the templates."

As she said this, the boss brought over many samples of artistic photos.

One after another, the cheap wedding photos were removed by the boss. Brandon's heart suddenly trembled, and even his voice trembled inexplicably.

"I still want to continue and look at the samples of wedding photos..."

This is the first time the boss has encountered such a strange customer.

Although this young man is dressed in a low-key manner and has an ordinary expression, upon closer inspection, she feels that he looks very unfamiliar. There are only a few people in the town, and most of the residents and bosses have an impression of him. So he should not be a resident of Central Town. Could it be that he is from out of town? If he came here as a tourist, why would he take wedding photos in a remote town like Central Town? Is it just a whim?

Maybe I won't be able to do business with this customer.

The boss sighed. It's the off-season for weddings. Their main business is wedding photos. Now they can't receive even one decent guest a week.

The boss didn’t bother anymore and had no choice but to put up the remaining wedding photos.

Everyone in this photo had the same smiling face. It was very mechanical, a cheap and fragile happiness. But he was about to have such fragile happiness. Brandon unknowingly reached out and touched those close to him through the photo frame. A smile so close at hand.
