5 days til school
"ALAIYA"
Jamie was calling for her daughter. She knew Alaiya had to start school soon so she wanted to surprise her with something to help her deal with the stress of switching schools. As Alaiya walked down the stairs, she saw her mom standing there with a grin on her face.
" come outside sweetie! I have something to show you!"
She exclaimed. Alaiya just looked at her mother amused. She knew her mom had bank from being an actress but what could she possibly be showing her?
As they walked outside she saw her dream car. A pink Mercades wagon with pink interior.
" OH MY GOD MOM WHAT!"
She screamed as she turned to hug her mom. Jamie gave her the keys and she ran to it.
" can I take it for a test drive?"
She questioned her mother. Jamie nodded and with that she was off. She drove all through the neighborhood taking photos while driving. After 5 minutes she was pulling up to Bryce's house. As she pulled up she entered her code they have her so they knew she arrived. She pulled up and Bryce was already outside waiting.
" lai when the fuck did you get this? This shit is fire!"
He exclaimed as he hugged her. She just laughed and looked at it.
" Mama gave it to me as a transfer gift"
She said which caused him to look at her weird.
" Alaiya, what the fuck do you mean transfer gift? You said you were staying at La Jolla county day. Did you lie to me?"
In that moment she knew she fucked up. All she could do was sigh.
" Ok so I didn't wanna tell you because I wanted it to be a surprise. I'm transferring into Sierra Canyon."
She said hoping he wouldn't freak out on her. Bryce just smiled while picking her up and running around screaming
" YESSSSSS. SHES COMING TO SIERRA CANYON"
He kept running and Alaiya kept laughing.
" ok ok put me down!!"
As she said that he put her down. There was a moment of silence as they just looked into each others eyes.
" Bryce I don't want school to change anything. I don't want you to feel love bombed and I don't wanna be love bombed. I also don't want either of us to feel like the other is to clingy."
Alaiya had past relationships where they ended because of their social life at their schools. Alaiya had never dated anyone from a different school, so at first she thought she wasn't going to see him. Then she got offered a great spot on Sierra Canyons team. She couldn't deny the offer.
Bryce just stared at her like always mesmerized by her facial features
" baby. If I ever make you feel any type of way just come to me and I'll fix it. Don't hide yourself from me like you did with everyone else. I know you even when you don't talk I know what's wrong. Just let me love you the way your supposed to be loved"
When he said that she was in shock. Love? Did he truly love her? They've never said it before so was he just saying that? Was there an underlying reason?
" I can see you overthinking, yes I love you, no I don't expect you to say it back, yes I-"
At that she cut him off planting a kiss on his lips
" I love you to Bryce. A lot. Please don't hurt me."
Once she said that he realized she was truly scared to be loved. Maybe he should step up. Maybe he should try more.
In relationships Bryce always felt like he was dealt a bad hand. From the past 2 he had it was a lot of mental warfare. He was either arguing with his girlfriend and either Alaiya about them not feeling comfortable with her around. He always knew deep down there was something more with Alaiya but could never pinpoint it. Once Jayla and Aaliyah told him, he knew he was on track. He doesn't want her to feel any-type of way. But for some reason he can't let go of Layla
