After school
Even tho school just started they start basketball conditioning today. They were also in the class for fourth block so everyone was already changed
" alright ladies I know we were just practicing but we gotta get our shoots up"
The girls listened to Coach Komaki talk.
As practice went on all Lai could think about was how her relationship was ruined in a month. Was it truly that hard for her to be loved? She never understood why she couldn't stay in relationships for long. It was always a month or two and the outcome was always the same. As her mom said " don't ever let no nigga play in yo face. Broke or not all niggas grimy."
She tried so hard to prove her mother wrong. To show that she could find a nice guy, but it never happened. All she wanted was for her mother to be proud of her. But it never happened
After practice Alaiya was quick to get out of there. She knew the boys were practicing too but didn't know when they were getting out. She saw Layla walk over to the boys gym and cringed at the sight.
" she just can't get her own man can she?"
Layla was always known as being home-wrecker. She's done it to at-least 5 girls and she never sticks Aron's long enough to make it worth it. Everyone knew her and Bryce used to date but no one thought it would be a problem. As Alaiya got in her car all she could do was cry. She felt like losing Bryce was the worst thing that could ever happen to her. She always felt like she had Bryce because they were always best friends. The one thing she was scared of happening happened. Their friendship was ruined. As she put the car in drive her phone started ringing. Without looking at the caller ID she answered.
" hello"
" Ma look I know you mad but can you please hear me out? "
Bryce pleaded
" didn't I say lose my number bru. I meant it"
" Ok Alaiya I get your hurt but that doesn't mean I can't talk to you. Can we please just talk about this? I don't wanna lose you"
" You lost me the second you thought you could play in my face with that bitch Layla. Hoe are you fucking stupid? Who do you think I am Bryce? I would have NEVER even THOUGHT about doing that to you. What the fuck did I do to deserve that?"
It was silence for a few seconds. Bryce didn't know what to say. He didn't think it would cause her this much pain. He always said " live with no regrets" but he's really regretting this right now.
" look Lai Lai I love you. I really do. Can you please come over can we just sit and talk about this. I can't lose you please? I'm sorry."
Alaiya just sighed. She didn't know what to do. She knew that he was gonna talk her out of her feelings but she doesn't know if she wants to be talked down right now.
" I'm on my way"
With that she hung up the phone and made a right going to his street instead of hers.
