~Alice's pov~

Today was a usual day for me. I was lounging on my balcony when my phone suddenly buzzed. It was Therese, the little girl I met at the Senate hearing, whose grandmother was the one trying to destroyed me.

{Phone call ended}

Alice quickly went back inside her room as it was already 1:30 when Cia called. She changed into simple pants and a white tank top that perfectly suited her, accentuating her curves. After that, she did her makeup and scrolled on her phone, waiting for Cia to arrive.

(Time skip)

After a few minutes, Alice heard a loud beep outside and immediately grabbed her bag before heading outside.

"Hi," Cia greeted me as she got out of the car and hugged me.

"Hello, bebe," I said with a smile as I hugged her and carried her back inside the car.

Senator Risa greeted me with a smile, so I did the same. Our positions were set with her as the driver, me as the passenger, and Cia in the back. After a few minutes, we arrived at the mall.

~Risa's pov~

As we arrived at the mall and got out of the car, Cia grabbed Alice's and my hands all the way to the arcade. They were both happy and mesmerized, especially Alice. I completely understood why she acted like a kid at the arcade. She shared her past with me before we became enemies; she used to be my so-called daughter. I was delighted to see how well they got along, as if they had known each other for a long time. Watching them bond felt like observing my daughter and granddaughter connecting with each other. As I approached them, I couldn't help but laugh at their disappointment with the claw machine. They looked at me pouting, their brows furrowed. So cute.

"Let me try it," I said, chuckling. They made way for me to play the claw machine.

The moment I played, it seemed like the claw was favoring me. Thank goodness because I'm no expert at this, I'm just confident, you know. I won two stuffed toys, and they cheered and thanked me loudly. After they finished spending their tokens on different machines, they both approached me.

"Are you done, or do you want to continue playing?" I asked as they came up to me.

They both said they were done, so we exited the arcade. While walking, Cia pointed at a store, and it turned out to be the toy rush. I shook my head in disagreement, and she bowed her head, looking sad. Alice noticed and cheered Cia up by suggesting she buy some toys. Cia hesitated to agree and looked at me. "No, Alicia, she has plenty of toys at home," I said before looking away at Cia and making eye contact with Alice. "No, that's fine, I insist," Alice said. However, Cia hesitated again to obey Alice, looking scared, with tears in her eyes, trying to hold them back. I had raised her not to be a spoiled kid.
