I pull in to my driveway and yawn.
"I don't know about you, but I am so damn tired," Ryan said
"You stole the words right out of my mouth," I said, yawning again
"Let's nap," Ryan said, taking both his bag and mine.
I unlocked the door, and we stepped inside. Immediately, the house felt different.
"Something is off, Ry," I said holding on to his arm
"How so?" Ryan said
"It feels bad in here" I replied
"What do you want to do?" Ryan said looking at me
"Ignore it and sleep" I said pulling Ryan to my room
We get in bed and cuddle to get warmer because the room was cold.
"Rabbit" Ryan said looking at me
"Yes" I said looking back at him
"I'm glad you kissed me" he said
"I'm glad you kissed me back" I replied
The both of us were laying down chatting to each other when 3 consecutive knocks were heard. Not too loud but loud enough to tell it was from the other side of the bedroom door. The both of us jumped and I snuggled into Ryan, terrified.
"W-whats that" I whispered
"That was definitely knocks right?" Ryan said looking at me
"Uh yeah" I breathed "Ryan, you're good with this, what do we do?" I said shaking
"Um, we need to state our boundaries and be clear" Ryan said holding me to calm me down
"Okay, can you lead? I don't want to say the wrong thing" I whispered
"I'm calling out to all of the entities in this house, especially the entity that has been knocking and opening cupboards" Ryan started "you do not have permission to reside in this home. You can not touch or harm y/n or anyone that stands within this home. You can not stay here. This is not your place to stay. You need to leave!" Ryan said loud and bluntly
I closed my teary eyes and hugged Ryan as tight as I could, I was terrified.
"You need to say it too" Ryan said
"I'm scared" I whispered
"No you're not y/n, this is your home, this is your body, no one can invade that. You need to be clear and direct" Ryan said reassuring me
He has a way with words
"You can not harm me, you can not stay in this house, you are not welcome, you do not have permission to be here. You need to leave" I said loudly
Ryan hugged me and kissed me on the forehead.
"Good job y/n I'm proud of you" Ryan said smiling
"What do you think it is?" I said quietly
"I don't know but one things for sure, it's definitely not Casper the friendly ghost" Ryan said strangely making me giggle.
"Thanks Ryan, you always know how to make an area feel safe and comfortable" I said, smiling at him
"Well I guess when you've been doing it for a while, things become more repetitive and easier to do" Ryan said
"I couldn't imagine being here alone" I said
