Michael and the Grandeurian soldiers with him walked on the grassy fields of Havn. Currently they fled here in Havn on Nord because from what they heard, the voidborns haven't attacked this place that much yet and barely anyone has been transformed into one by them. After some time has passed... His eyes widened in surprise, the soldiers' reactions weren't so different.  They can't help but be shocked by what they expected to be the peaceful capital of Nord bustling with civilians on their daily business... But instead they saw a burning city with panicked cries of civilians heard everywhere.

"What the hell happened here?..." one  of the Grandeurian soldiers asks, backing away, clutching his rifle which he held close to his chest.

They ran into the city, to check what is happening, running past destroyed shops, buildings. It was a tragic site, the once beautiful capital of Nord now in ruins. There was blood splattered everywhere, occasional screeches from voidborns are heard... Which is a bad sign. They jogged through the streets, their morale crushed by every single structure that they witnessed destroyed.

Before they could press further, a gigantic voidborn  came swooping down from the sky as it landed onto the streets, causing the ground to shake and crushing multiple vehicles and smaller structures underneath its weight. More of them appeared and roared at the group.

"Darn it..." Michael cursed as the soldiers with him took a step back. He turned to look at them, "We are lacking of better equipment and are in no shape to fight them! We must retreat, at least for now!" he said, the soldiers knew better than to question an officer's command. So they all sprinted away, hearing the screeches of the gigantic voidborns as the ground continued to shake. The creatures' steps slow but devastating to the ground.

They stopped in front of a building, it was the only way around the fallen one that was blocking the road up ahead. They kicked the door, again and again before it fell over. They rushed inside the living room, only to find guns from panicked Nordian soldiers pointed at them.

"F-FREEZE!!!" the one at the middle yelled in a mix of determination and nervousness.

"Please lower your fire!" Michael said, raising his voice so that the Nordians can hear him properly from the sounds of all the chaos and carnage the voidborns had outside. "We came here thinking its safe, but it appears it is no longer! Please, we must work together, we cannot afford to be meal for voidborns!"

The Nordians, hearing the urgency in the officer's tone, slowly lowered their guns, before exchanging nods and looking back at him. "Very well, we'll lead the way. Come." another one who was the last one to the left said.

They began running up the building, going through several floors, until they saw the part of the staircase that leads to the sixth floor was blocked. They gathered some planks they had found on the floor and used it to cross to the other building. They shot down and killed voidborns that got in their way, and about four of them have died. Two were a Grandeurian  and a Nordian  fell off the planks they used for a bridge to get to another building, one was a Nordian crushed by falling debris, and the latest one was  a Grandeurian decapitated by a voidborn's sword. They hoped that these are the only casualties they'll suffer...

They continued to run through the city, the number of voidborns increasing. Some of them swooping down from above to drop down barrels of explosives, some hold guns and fire bullets that cause explosions, some wield bows that automatically generate grey arrows that work similar to the bullets of the gunners and some wield swords which are just the normal type.

When they got off the buildings and got back to the streets. About two died. A Grandeurian and a Nordian soldier. One got sent flying through a window (and presumably fell to his death) by a voidborn gunner which fired a bullet near his feet that exploded, the second was shot at the head by a voidborn archer and decapitated by the explosion.

They reached the docks and got into the boat. They all settled down, no voidborns had been following them around for now.

Michael sat down with the remaining survivors, huddling inside the bkat. Looking at the Nordians. "Okay so, how did all of this started?" he asks them.

They exchanged glances, before giving each other a nod again before the middle spoke up. "The Eklarinians have quarantined us. They wanted to destroy the entire city just to make sure the infection of the voidborns doesn't spread... Selfish bastards..."

Michael's eyes widened at those words. How selfish of the Eklarinians indeed. To think they'd kill multiple innocent people just to stop the infection...

The boat continued to make way through the canal. The city it was in between was still in ruins, burning and the cries of people can be heard loud and clear along with the screeches of voidborns and their flapping of wings.

It wasn't long before they finally approach the sea. They can see a battleship up ahead at the sky flying. Their boat reached another boat which was burning and wrecked, they saw a box of teleporters on it.

But it didn't take long before the battleship has clearly noticed them and fired some missiles onto their ship. Michael's eyes widened in shock. "EVERYONE!! ONTO THE OTHER SHIP! NOW! GRAB THE TELEPORTERS!!"

They all scrambled to get off the boat and began grabbing teleporters. All of them got out except one Nordian who got blasted to smithereens by a missile. The teleporters were in bad shape.

They had to immediately wire them back to get them working again. While at the same time using nearby shipwrecks to get away from the missiles and buy themselves more time.

It took quite a while for them to fix their own teleporters. Because the explosions also attracted some voidborns that began attacking them. They killed some of the voidborn gunners and used their guns to shoot the battleships, surprisingly their bullets were able to go a further distance upwards compared to their guns.

They soon destroyed the battleship and took down the last voidborns before finishing the teleporters. Michael and the Grandeurian soldiers teleported to Konig. Where the people of their universe had migrated to due to the crisis with voidborns. The Nordian soldiers teleported there too since their nation is in shambles by now.
