His Tale

Y/n’s POV

" Taehyung always wasn't the way he is .” Aria looked straight into my eyes , her own were soaked with a whole different aura then . " He used to have a different energy. I don't think you can imagine him as an outgoing person or someone who's capable of cracking a proper smile . Nobody expects these things from him . It was as if Taehyung forced himself to change and everyone forgot about him as a whole . “

Her stances looked calm but her palms seemed sweaty with the way she kept on rubbing them against her pants in a subtle manner . She was cautious with her actions and exceptionally good at hiding whatever storm she herself was facing. I wouldn't have noticed these little things before when I was caught up with my rage . Right at the moment I was somewhere in a dormant stage , forcing myself to stay calm and try to listen.

“ He was a boy who wanted to love , at one point of his life.  Presently he fears the idea of it. There was one incident that had occurred in his last year of school and my brother never remained the same after that . " I didn't realize that I could still feel so much for a man who invited pain for me . I was curious to know , anxious of the creeping possibility of the worst which could have happened to him in the past.

“ He had a girlfriend in school . Her name was Evelyne. She seemed like a normal girl who was infatuated with Taehyung. It felt very normal and easy going with such a vibrant couple . Evelyne seemed sweet as well . Only that she wasn't and nobody could have known.” Aria glanced at my direction and forced a smile even though her lips trembled . She breathed in deep and resumed her words , as if preparing herself to talk about something forbidden.

“ Prom is something everyone is usually excited about . Taehyung was equally so . He made sure to accompany Evelyne and get themselves a suit and dress from a well known designer. She was fond of the color pink and even though Taehyung wasn't a fan of it , he made sure that the colors of their attires match. He planned their dance , literally everything honestly. Anyone could tell that he was looking up to that day . He was the happiest . But the universe had a different plan . Nobody could have foreseen what happened that night. Evelyne showed her true colors.  She got Taehyung drugged and then forced him into a non-consensual intercourse. “

Aria had an unconscious grip on her knees where her nails digged the jeans she had worn. As for me , I held my breath in my chest , feeling something crashing there . The news felt too overwhelming to take in and process wholly .

“ I have watched my brother being so disoriented since then . He didn't plan for his relationship to go that way yet . It was too early for him and he couldn't figure out what exactly went down.  He knew that he didn't want this to happen but he couldn't strongly express that.  Our dad always pointed at him , called him at fault for it when he got to know about the situation. I was the one who helped Taehyung realize that whatever went down wasn't right . That he was…raped . “

" When he finally understood, something died in Taehyung. We couldn't do anything about the matter at first ..dad was not ready to do much about it because it would bring public attention and he thought that it was much too scandalous.  The truth was that he thought of my brother to be more of a coward and less of a man . Taehyung was pointed at even when he was the victim….I hope this was the end of this story though. “

My heart stuttered at the implication that this wasn't the end of a story which sounded like a nightmare. Getting betrayed by the person he loved , and not being able to speak openly about what was done wrong to him . It felt like someone had pierced my chest and grasped on my heart .

“ Evelyne had a motive behind her actions. Getting into a relationship with Taehyung, playing pretend that she reciprocated his feelings and then eventually the night they spent. It was all a part of her plan. It all came clear when a month hardly passed by and she was at our doorsteps, claiming to be pregnant with Taehyung's child . Our dad was unbothered before but this girl was starting to become a thorn for his dear reputation. He finally took a step and managed to get her to do a paternity test. Turns out she wasn't pregnant and was lying about it . Basically tried to baby trap my brother and get married so that she could be a part of our family. “
