Zaina approached Linux slowly, her eyes locked with his. She could see the mix of emotions in his gaze—something she hadn't noticed before, or perhaps had been too afraid to acknowledge. Standing just inches away, she hesitated, searching for the right words.

"Why did you stop me?" he asked softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

She took a deep breath, steadying herself. "I... I don't know," she admitted, her voice trembling slightly. "I guess I’m just confused."

"Confused about what?" he asked, stepping closer, his hand gently brushing against her arm.

"About you... about us," she said, her voice barely audible. "You've been so different lately, and I don’t know how to feel about it. One moment, you're distant and harsh, and the next, you're caring and gentle. I don't know which version of you is real."

He sighed, his eyes softening. "They’re both real, Zaina. I’ve made mistakes, been too harsh, too controlling. But I’m trying to change. I care about you more than you realize."

Her heart ached at his words, torn between wanting to believe him and the fear of getting hurt again. "Why should I believe you this time?"

"Because this time, I’m not just saying it—I’m showing it," he replied earnestly. "I know I’ve been difficult, and I don’t expect you to just forget everything. But I’m here, and I’m trying. I want to make this work."

Zaina looked into his eyes, searching for any hint of insincerity, but all she found was a man who seemed genuinely remorseful. A man who, despite his flaws, was making an effort.

Zaina's heart pounded as she tried to process his words. The sincerity in Linux's eyes made her want to believe him, to trust that he could be the man she needed. But the scars of his past actions were still fresh, the wounds not yet healed.

She took a step back, creating a small distance between them. "You say you want to make this work," she began, her voice steady but laced with a cautious edge. "But words aren’t enough, Linux. You’ve hurt me before—made me feel powerless, trapped. How do I know this isn't just another game to you?"

His jaw tightened at her words, a flicker of frustration crossing his features. "It's not a game," he said, his tone firm, almost harsh. "I’ve made mistakes, yes, but I’m not that man anymore."

"Then show me," she challenged, her eyes narrowing. "Show me that you can be different. Because if you can’t, if you slip back into those old habits, I swear, I won’t hesitate to walk away. I won’t let you control me."

A tense silence filled the room as they stared at each other, the air thick with unspoken emotions. Linux’s gaze darkened, a mix of anger and determination flashing in his eyes.

"You’re stronger than I gave you credit for," he said, his voice low and intense. "I see that now. And it makes me want you even more. But understand this, Zaina—I’m not used to being challenged. I don’t handle defiance well."

Zaina’s heart skipped a beat at the dangerous edge in his tone, but she refused to back down. "I’m not afraid of you, Linux. Not anymore."

A slow, almost predatory smile curled at the corner of his lips. "Good," he murmured, stepping closer again, closing the gap between them. "Because I don’t want you to fear me. I want you to stand your ground, to push back. It makes the chase that much more exhilarating."

Her breath hitched as he moved closer, his presence overwhelming. She could feel the heat radiating from his body, the intensity of his gaze locking her in place.

"But don’t mistake my desire for change as weakness," he continued, his voice a dangerous whisper. "I’m still the man who knows how to get what he wants. And right now, what I want is you."

Zaina’s pulse raced, torn between the pull she felt toward him and the instinct to protect herself. "You can’t just demand me, Linux," she said, her voice trembling slightly. "Love isn’t something you take by force."

His hand reached out, cupping her chin with a gentle yet firm grip. "I’m not asking for love, Zaina. Not yet. But I’m asking for a chance to prove myself to you. To show you that I can be the man you deserve."

Her eyes searched his, finding a mix of vulnerability and fierce determination. "And if you fail?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.

"I won’t," he replied, his grip on her chin tightening slightly. "But if I do... then you walk away, and I won’t stop you. But until then, you’re mine, Zaina. And I won’t let you forget it."

A shiver ran down her spine at his words, the intensity of his claim leaving her breathless. Part of her wanted to resist, to fight against the power he held over her. But another part—a darker, hidden part—was drawn to it, to him.

"Fine," she whispered, her voice laced with a mix of defiance and surrender. "But remember, Linux—if you cross the line again, I’m gone."

His eyes flashed with a possessive fire as he pulled her closer, their faces inches apart. "I won’t cross it," he promised, his voice a growl. "But I will push it. Because I can’t promise that I’ll always be gentle, Zaina. I’m a man with a dark side, and you need to know that. But I’ll never hurt you—not in the way that matters."

She swallowed hard, her body tingling with a mixture of fear and anticipation. "Then we’ll see," she said, her voice trembling with the weight of the moment.

With that, Linux leaned in, his lips hovering just above hers, the tension between them electric. "We will," he whispered before closing the distance, capturing her lips in a kiss that was anything but gentle.

It was fierce, demanding, a clash of wills and emotions. Zaina felt herself melting into it, her hands gripping his shirt as he pulled her closer, his lips claiming hers with a desperate intensity.
