With great power -

With great power comes a great need to take a nap. Wake me up later.

"I hate you!"

"Ok?"

"I really hate you, Rahul Bhai."

Rahul Bhai, aka Rahul Dravid, looked at the screen of his phone worriedly.

"You are actually MS."

A thrum of silence. "Of course I am! And you are not listening to me. As usual."

"I did hear you proclaim your hatred for me."

"I did not do that!"

Rahul had to pull the phone away from his ears and rub it.

"Calm down. kid. Jeez. What is wrong with you? You do not drink. Did you have too many strawberries or something?" Even the words made Rahul feel as if he had lost a few of his brain cells.

"Huh? No. I don't think so?"

Rahul walked over to a chair and sank into it rather exhaustedly. "What did you have, MS?"

Another waddle of silence. "Painkillers."

"What?" Rahul sat up straight. "Are you alright?"

"No!" Another wail. "I am in pain. And I hate you."

"Oh good lord, MS. What..."

"MS! MS! MS! Who the fuck is this MS? Like why? I have a perfectly good name! Mahendra!"

"You want me to call you Mahendra?" Rahul was feeling so far out of his depth that he probably needed a Fathometer to measure it.

"Mahi! I want you to call me Mahi! Or Mahe! Not fucking MS!"

"Ok. Alright. Calm down, kiddo."

Rahul was finally finding the edge of the unraveling wool ball and held on tight to it.

"MS... Sorry, Mahi, how many painkillers did you have?"

"Don't know. Sakshi gave."

Rahul felt relieved almost immediately.

"Then that is alright." The relief sparkled sharply in his voice. "She would know what to do?"

"And I wouldn't?"

Oh good lord in heaven! MS's voice shook.

"Of course not, Mahi. I just think that your body reacted to the painkillers. A little too hard and all."

"Oh... But I still hate you."

The cosmic dilemma out of the way, Rahul relaxed in his seat. "And why is that, Mahiya?"

"Dada calls me that!" The expected protest came through and Rahul laughed out loud.

He was pleasantly reminded of the few times when MS's body had reacted not too well to painkillers, causing him to become a little regressed in age and so much more expressive.
