Chapter 8 Fighting Ourselves

You may be wondering what had happened to the Fractureverse Unburnt Rebellion; well Fractureverse Lyria had made a deal with Fractureverse Abigail that she could handle the Nether, while she dealt with the Overworld. There was only one small problem, Fractureverse Lyria had left out the major detail that the Nether Horde was actually on their side in this reality, not that the Fractureverse Rebels cared for who was who as they just wanted bloodshed. Absolute chaos occurred because of this with the Nether Horde fighting two rebellions and in turn both rebellions were fighting each other leading to a very confusing mess.

Inside the royal castle King Naues listened to his army officers arguing with each other about the Rebellion's movements. "You idiot! You couldn't have possibly seen Princess Abigail in the Piglin Kingdom cause I just saw her in the Blaze Kingdom!" Screeched Brots at Kaia, who'd just been arguing that she'd been the one to first spot the princess alive again. "Rubbish, both of you are fools as she should still be stashed away in lava." Snorted Zarkos. "Two of us saw her. How do you explain that?" Kaia demanded. "You are always impulsive and miss things." Zarkos argued.

"But General Brots is a reliable source. You can't have imagined the princess." Hogsworth interrupted. "Fine then she is alive but Lady Kaia is just making things up." Huffed Zarkos. "But what doesn't make sense to me, is that my brother and I just fought off and killed a group of rebels on return to the castle, only to come across them again." Wilbur said, completely confused. "So then they must have a necromancer then." Replied Zarkos. "But they weren't undead nor were they star users." Explained Wilbur.

"How do you know they were the same troops then?" Asked Kaia. "Because they would look different." Hogsworth said, rolling his eyes. "Besides you wouldn't mix anyone up would you now?" He added as he looked at Wilbur. "No of course not Sir." Responded Wilbur. "There you are, you see. Now as for more important matters, I've seen Urgrakk leading a battalion through the soul sand valley..." Hogsworth said but he was cut short by Zarkos. "Nonsense you couldn't have seen him, for I just saw him lurking outside the castle so I had all guards on watch." Zarkos yelled back, resulting in all the officers losing it as they continued to argue which eventually led to them physically fighting with each other.

"Enough!" Roared Naues. He had heard and seen enough to now intervene with the drama. The officers stopped at once, perhaps even a little fearful of their king as they paid attention to him. "Clearly we are overrun with rebels therefore as a logical solution, we shall have to temporarily withdraw our forces from the Overworld until this is dealt with. This rebellion won't last long after all we have 2 end crystals." Naues continued with a hint of amusement to his voice. There were several nods of agreement. "Good then that settles the matter." Ended Naues in satisfaction.

Meanwhile the Fractureverse Unburnt Rebellion was dealing with their own problems. Fractureverse Abigail was the leader of the whole affair. After she'd been revived for the second time in her life, she was once again evil. Fractureverse Zarkos had managed to convert her personality on her first revival as part of an experiment. During that time Fractureverse Abigail and Fractureverse Naues had become very close with him being an almost father-like figure to her. Thus when Fractureverse Rain had killed her, Fractureverse Naues had asked Fractureverse Zarkos to revive her again.

Unfortunately before Fractureverse Zarkos could do so her body had been stolen by Fractureverse Ciara. When Fractureverse Azura attempted to steal a crystal, she accidentally dropped it whilst fighting Fractureverse Kaia along with her beacon gun causing the two to react with each other in a magical explosion. This explosion had revived Fractureverse Abigail however it had converted her back to her old selfish personality. This lead to her taking charge of the rebellion and betraying the Fractureverse Horde ending up in the present mess in the current reality they were in with a 3 sided war.
