Chapter 8

That next day I needed to figure out what she was planning and which my lead was nothing.

I don't know why Sophie would be the one to stop her plans and all I know is she wants revenge on me and not Sophie but really nothing else.

Sophie was in bed all day he whole back was bruised up and it was hard for her to walk so I brought all her food to her.

The kids tried to help me out even though I told them not they did anyway so I might as well have them help me.

"I want to see if we can find her again she needed something in the enchanted library and she didn't get to it so she'll go again," I said

"Well, why don't we plant traps." Huey suggested, "That way we can catch her."

"Well, the problem with that is that we don't know anything about sirens," Della said.

"Do you know anything about Crystal that could be useful?" Huey asked

"No not really all I remember is her always being sweet to me." I said "Nothing else."

"Do you think Sophie would know?"

"We can't ask her not now." I said, "Shes still shocked about what happened yesterday."

"Scrooge she might go back to the enchanted library you got to ask her it could be a life or death situation who knows what she's planning," Beakley said resting her hand on my shoulder.

"Alright, but I might not get much out of her," I said.

I walked upstairs and saw Sophie there she was lying on the bed and looked upset.

"Hey, love." I said kissing her cheek "How are you doing?"

"Ok," she replied trying to smile.

"I know this is hard for you and I understand that but I need to ask you some questions on Crystal...This could be a life or death situation please."

She looked at me like I was crazy then said "I understand so what do you want to ask..."

"Well was she ever mean to you?"

"Well before I met you we argued a lot. She was jealous of me She never said it but I knew it but we kinda would move on after fighting like siblings do but I always felt bad about me getting all the attention and I knew she hated me."

I looked at her and she started to tear up "The truth was I cared about her a lot and thought about you, Olivia, Alex, and her... But one thing I knew about was she liked you like alot and after you left we fought a lot and she confessed to me she loved you..."

"Wh...What?" I said confused and shocked at the same time

"Yeah I guess she did and was jealous because she told me you liked me and was all mad she smashed our portrait together but when the battle happened she helped us so I assumed we were fine...." She started crying "I knew I loved you a lot Scroogy but Crystal did too and it hurts me every day..."

I put my hand on my shoulder "It's not your fault you love me and I love you, Sophie...But it does explain a lot..."

"I know it just does hurt I mean I feel like I take away everything from her parent's love, Attention, and her first love..."

"Sophie..."

"Do you have any other questions?"

"Well, do you know any of the siren's weaknesses?"

"Well, fire to weaken them that helps uh I mean love but that could kill a siren completely..."

"Love? That sounds like a cringy movie?" I said

"Well, it's true Pretty boy if you find someone else who knows things about sirens talk to them they'll say the same thing..." She said, "But I don't know how long Crystal has been a siren for all I know I could be years and fire could not be a weakness to her anymore."

"Well, we could try fire I'll text Alex and Olivia." I said and I looked at her and she looked even more upset "Thank you love I know that was hard for you..."

"It's okay you need to save the world she could be planning something evil, I love you." She said kissing me on the lips

"I love you more laddy."  

I got up and left her hoping she'll be okay

I wish I knew more about her...

I looked at my phone and Alex texted me 

"There is someone who might know what Crystal's plan is there going to meet with us tomorrow I want you and Sophie to come."
