06. Blake's Brother

As I arrived back to camp, I am quickly approached by Shane asking about Glenn, "Hey where's your little boyfriend? He needs to help me with the truck." Boyfriend. "Earth to Madison." Shane said snapping his fingers in my face. I quickly ran off to find Glenn.

As I got closer to my tent, someone came up from behind me picking me up and spinning me around, "Hey Madi" Glenn whispered in my ear, placing a soft kiss on my cheek. I giggle quietly then say "Um, Shane is asking for you, he needs help with the truck but I don't know why"

"Awe I was hoping to spend time wit-" That's when Glenn got cut off by the sounds of Sophia and Carl screaming. Immediately we started sprinting towards their screams, I could hear Lori ahead yelling for Carl, everything was loud and fast. Well until I tripped over a tree branch and fell right on my ass. Glenn didn't notice until he had already gotten to the kids.

"Don't worry, they're okay. It was a walker eating a deer." Glenn said as I came walking up, immediately noticing the geeks head on the ground. Oh god. "That would've been a nice meal. I could really go for some mea-" I started saying to the group whenever Morales said quietly "Shut up." There was movement in the woods near us. Please be a human and not a geek.

Blake's older brother, Daryl came from out of the bushes immediately said "SHIT. That was my deer." at the sight of the decapitated geek and the dead deer. "Well we can just cut around the infected part right?" Dale asked. I wanted to throw up at that thought "I would not risk that." Rick said to the older man calmly.

"Oh come on, y'all know better." Daryl said shooting through the geeks brain and quickly walked back towards camp. Merle. "Listen Daryl there's something we need to tell you, something I need to tell you" Shane said catching up to the Dixon brother quickly.

"Merle! Blake! Get your ugly asses out here, I caught some squirrels! Lets make some stew." The older Dixon yelled as the youngest Dixon came out of the tent. When did he get back to camp? Blake looked upset at the sight of Daryl "Merle ain't here." "Fuck you mean Merle ain't here." Daryl said turning towards the group of men. "Where's my brother." "Liste-" Shane started to say but Rick cut him off, "Look theres no easy way to say this so i'll just say it"

Daryl scoffed saying "Who are you?!" "Rick Grimes." "Well Rick Grimes, is there something you wanna tell me?!" The older Dixon said in an angry manner. "Your brother was a danger to us all. So I handcuffed him on a rooftop and left him there. He is still there."

"Hold on. Let me process this. You handcuffed my brother to a roof and you left him there!" Daryl yelled at Rick. Rick just kept staring then finally said "Yeah" That's when Daryl threw his bag at Rick and lunged at the cop. Jesus.

"Daryl! Stop!" Blake protested holding his brother down on the ground, Daryl shook his head "You didn't do shit about this didn't you?!"

Lori piped up "Ricks gonna go help you get him back. Ain't you?" Rick nodded at the sight of his upset wife. "I'm going too." I said calmly to the group. A angry look swept over Shanes face, "Fuck no Madison. There's geeks everywhere. No." "She can come. I will be there. She's safe with me." Rick said to my older brother.

It only took a few minutes of convincing but Shane said yes to me going with the group to find Merle Dixon. "Stay with Blake, Glenn, or Rick. No one else."my older brother told me as he was helping me pack a little bag for the road. Blake? "Why Blake?" I asked confused. He sighed before continuing "Because he promised me that he would put your safety over the groups." "What the fuck Shane?!" I said angrily at my older. Before he could speak back, I had grabbed my bad and ran towards the truck.
