09. Scream

Amy.

I heard her first.

Turning to see why she was screaming. That's when I realized what was happening.

Geeks.

Amy. I have to get to Amy.

As I get up to run to the girl, I am shoved down and hugged covering my face from the horror around me. Tears came streaming down my cheeks fast at the thought of Amy dying, or others. "Shhhh Mads its okay" I recognized the voice immediately. Blake. "I'm right here Mads, it's okay. It'll be over soon I promise." He whispered into my ear.

Carl.

Forcing Blake to let go of me, I stood up, looking around the chaos for the young boy. He was by himself near Carol's tent. I quickly ran to him, stuffing his face into my shirt to hide the sight of Ed's half eaten body. Blake ran after me, pulling both Carl and I into a strong embrace. "It's okay buddy, it's almost over. You're safe. We're safe." I whispered placing a soft kiss on top of Carl's head.

"MADISON! MADI!" I heard Glenn yell in the distance. I wanted to rush to him but Blake wasn't letting go of me.

It felt like days had passed but it had only been minutes before it was over. "Hey Blake, help him find Lori or Rick please. I need to find my brother" I stated as Blake slowly let go of the two of us. I walked through the camp fast, the worst thoughts flowing through my mind when someone picked me up squeezing me tightly.

"Oh, thank god." I heard Shane say as he squeezed tighter, a smile quickly appeared on my face. "MADI! MAD-. Oh thank god." I heard Glenn say rushing towards Shane and I. Shane let go of me so Glenn could hug me.

I wanted to hold onto him and never let go. "I thought something had happened to you" Glenn whispered into my shoulder, he had tears in his eyes and his voice was shaking."Shh i'm right here Glenn, i'm not going anywhere" I said stroking his hair softly. Gazing around the camp. I made eye contact with one person.

Blake.

"Hey Mads" I heard Blake say as I stared at Andrea. She had been with Amy's body since the attack. I hated Mads. "Stop calling me that Dixon." He softly laughed at my response "Only if you stop calling me Dixon" "Nope" I said finally looking at him. His face changed immediately seeing my puffy blood shot eyes. "You've been crying all night huh?" I nodded with tears in my eyes.

He sat down next to me, putting his arm over my shoulder pulling me closer. "I know what it's like Madison. Just let it all out. It's okay." He whispered as I let out soft sobs into his chest.

Amy was really gone.

                                 Blake's POV
Madison Walsh was never the person I imagined to get me out of my little depressed shell.

but here we are.

She felt safe enough to fall asleep in my arms.

MY arms.

She's beautiful when shes asleep.

That's when I noticed him. Glenn was staring at us with angry in his eyes. They were clearly something but they hadn't told the group. I smiled at him to be respectful, but he just rolled his eyes and walked off.

Madison started whispering in her sleep. Shaking, I heard her say the name Amy. I kissed her temple, and held her tighter.

Making sure she wasn't alone.
