The tar continued to grow inside him. In the past ten minutes, Tex had doubled in size once again. Paris and Iris watched him as he lay unconscious, tired and anxious from the sonic blast Paris had generated. Both girls turned back into their human forms since the fight stopped, though Paris was more scared than Iris.
"Iris, I am getting worried. Can we be sure that his original mindset is still intact even when we turn him back?" Paris questioned concerningly.
Iris examined Tex's face before saying "I think we should be okay. I believe he will still have his memories while having minimal memory of the things that transpired before his mutation. I would say worry less, my friend."
"But still, Shane and Mega are not back yet and we are running out of time. I do not know how much longer we can wait for them" Paris feared once more.
"Not much longer, bud" spouted Shane's voice, to Paris's shock and joy.
"Shane? Oh goodie! You are back and uh-" Paris happily cheered. But the second she and Iris turned around to see him, Paris was stunned to see Buckley with him. "Um, wait, who is...this?"
"Paris, Iris, this is Buckley, the oviraptor girl we saw earlier with the Raptor Generals" Shane calmly explained, though Buckley didn't seem too excited about Shane telling her who she is to his friends behind her back.
"No way! You are Buckley? I did not know you were an oviraptor! That is so cool!" Paris easily got excited from meeting an oviraptor for the first time. Her inner dinosaur nerd kicked in. She inched to Buckley to get a closer look. "Your pink feathers are so pretty! I love how they align nicely in your wings and tail. And they match your eyes and head crest perfectly! Hmm, you do have a lot more hair on your head than I imagined."

Paris crept too close to Buckley's bubble. Having enough, Buckley flicked Paris's pointing finger away to keep it away from her face.
"This kid lives with dinosaurs, yet doesn't control herself when meeting other species? Sheesh. I gotta say, Shane, these friends of yours so far are somehow interesting. This little girl shows she can be cute and obnoxious at the same time. Makes you imagine how most kids like her will grow up in the future" Buckley monologued. She acted proud of her speech. Paris was confused, but didn't mind the comments Buckley made about her.
"You're eighteen, right?" Shane whispered to Buckley.
"Yeah, why?"
"She's a year older than you."
A girl acting childish and seemingly not as intelligent was older than Buckley by a year. While Paris's sweet blinking eyes showed her as a sweet and innocent person for her age, Buckley felt her pride picked at. She was used to being smarter than people younger than her, defective or not. She has a lot to learn about people in general.
"Whatever, let's just get this over with" Buckley declared before ending the conversation and moving over to the feral friend in question. Getting a good look at the sleeping T. rex dwarf, her eyes widened in shock when she recognized who he was.
