The dark basement floor seemed quiet at first. However, as Dreda crept through the hallway, she suddenly heard echoes of monstrous groans. The groans grew louder and louder the more steps she took. Her pistol was fully charged, but she couldn't tell if the threat was the rebellion or an escaped animal.

"Damn, those kids are a lot smarter than I thought."

Walking towards a crosswalked hall, Dreda took her phone out and rang for Grey. She waited impatiently for the ringing to stop, hoping he would pick up. However, before she could voice out more of her frustration, she was suddenly pushed back by the approach of a large monstrous animal. Crossing the horizontal hallway in front of her, she bore witness to the rampage of Tex, now partially infected with the tar's animalistic disease. She fell back seeing the young rex charge with deep black eyes and tar leaking from his eyes and mouth.

She didn't have time to process it as she fell back to the floor. Dreda stood in time to move to the corner and see Tex charge on all fours to another hallway, trying to search for easy prey. Thankfully, Dreda escaped such a tragedy. Not only did she spot a Dinosaur Rebel in a Terrarium base, but the rebel was now on a feral rampage. Her phone finally answered Grey while she held onto it tightly in fear.

"Mam? Ma? Are you okay? I just clicked and heard a loud bang. Did you find the kid?" Grey's voice spoke over the phone. Dreda was initially shaken to answer at first. But she snapped herself out long enough to answer her teammate.

"Grey! I need you to get Kai and as many reinforcements as you can! We have a feral outbreak in the basement levels of Cambrian and need immediate assistance, now!"

"Wait, what? A feral outbreak IN the TOWER?! Mam, what are you saying? Do you need me to get Hero on the line?" Grey tried to get answers since Dreda's order seemed relatively crazy.

"DON'T GET HERO INVOLVED JUST YET! LISTEN TO ME WHEN I SAY GET REINFORCEMENTS DOWN HERE NOW" Dreda yelled at the top of her lungs to get Grey to hear.

The stern, yet nervous utahraptor agreed and hung up to get help. Dreda knew she had to wait for the reinforcements to come so she could lead them to the threat. But she felt guilty about leaving the basement as Tex would be left alone, along with his possible allies. But she couldn't waste time finding them or Buckley now. She had to trust they would be okay before she left the basement to find the reinforcements. From there, she can hopefully keep Tex from escaping. She could also take the opportunity to process what she just saw. A feral crying black tears and acting more dangerous than a common animal.

"What the hell happened to that kid?"

As she left to find help, Tex scavenged the halls for easy prey. Searching for another lab room filled with containment boxes, he endlessly sniffed for compelling meals. Inside the lab room was an abundance of prey, however, as Shane, Paris, Iris, and Mega huddled for safety. Paris was too frightened to hold back any more screams, so she willingly put Shane's hand over her mouth. Shane's hands were big enough to cover her lower face, so she knew they would help better than her normal hands. He was comforting enough to keep her calm and look out for Tex as he moved closer to the doorway.
