They get down to the Cave. Micheal has caught up to them after having his fit. He still doesn't understand why Delilah is doing this. He wishes she wouldn't have.
Marko comes back with the food, Delilah wasn't delusional to think that the rice was maggots, or that the noodles were worms. David swore she would have fallen for it. Micheal is surprised she never fell for it like him.
Now, Marko goes to grab the blood. Micheal is worried about what will happen. Delilah drinks it nonchalantly, not waiting for the boys to say anything like Micheal did the night before. She takes a shot of it once David hands it to her, not thinking what would happen.
"Yes, Delilah!" Paul says.
"Bra-fucking-vo!" David hollers.
"Welcome to the Club, sis!" Marko smiles.
Dwayne goes over and pats her on the back, "Congratulations."
She keeps thinking about what they're congratulating her about. She doesn't say anything to either of them. Micheal doesn't say anything to her.
"Hey, the name's Star, I'm happy to have another girl around. I realized I never introduced myself to you yet," she says walking up to her.
"Oh, I'm Delilah. I'm Marko's sister," she replies back.
"Cool, nice to meet you," Star says with a smile.
"Likewise," Delilah says.
Delilah never knew what she did. She took it, not thinking of the consequences. Especially when David will make her make her first kill. Though, as Marko said, she's like a natural-born killer. He believes in her when it's time when her to go with them, when David tells her to.
Now that the initiation is slightly done, she feels different, but she just doesn't know why. She never asks anyone about it, and why she does. She just guesses that she's just feeling tired.
"Hey guys, I want to head back out," She says.
"Like hell, you aren't," David says sternly.
"Why not? Why can't Micheal take me back to his place, huh?" She challenges back.
"Why should you when you have family here?" Paul and David said in unison.
"You guys are right," She says. "Go back to your place, tell your mom that it's ok, and that I'm fine, please Micheal?"
"Yeah, whatever, just be careful," He mumbles.
"It'll be fine, trust me," She says annoyed.
After Micheal leaves, she goes outside to watch the stars and the moon. One night after she found out she had a brother, she saw a meteorite. Some people say that you can make a wish after you see one and that it may come true. Hers did when she wished that she would get directions on how to find her brother and where he would be. She felt bad leaving the owner of the gas station she worked at, but they both knew that it was for the better. He knew how often she snuck out, but not so much it was for smoking or drinking. She thinks about how he's doing and wishes that he could have gone with her, but she knows that he couldn't even if he wanted to. Especially being a local store owner on the outskirts of Las Vegas. Lots of people travel through there where the gas station was located.
Eventually, she senses someone sitting down beside her. She looks over and sees that it's Paul. "Hey, Paul, thanks for letting me ride with you here," she says with a smile.
"Yeah, of course, anything for my best friend's sister," he says looking at her, hoping she'll look back at him.
She chuckles at that, "No, what's the real reason, be real."
"There wasn't a reason, Marko just wanted you to ride with me here," He shrugs.
"Yeah, like as if you weren't getting hard when I wrapped my arms around you," She teases.
"What the fuck, Delilah! How did you know!" He says surprised.
"I have my ways, Paul. You aren't as slick as you think you are," She laughs, and puts her head on his shoulder.
At this point, he questions himself as to why he had to offer for her to ride with him. He knows why he wanted her to ride with him, but he didn't want her to know why. When she wrapped her arms around him, he felt whole. He knew that she was just for him. She just never knew it yet.
She's starting to get tired, but she doesn't want to disturb him since they're comfortable having their backs against a tree. She feels happy, feeling like her whole world just never collapsed, she's never felt this way for anyone, and it's an odd feeling for her. She never knew Paul felt the same way either.
"Hey, Lilah, want to go for a ride to the beach? No one should be there at this hour," Paul asks her.
He waited for an answer, but no answer came from her. He looked down to his shoulder since her head was still resting on him, and noticed she was sleeping. He smiles. He wants to move her, but doesn't know how he should. After some thinking, he picks her up, and they go down to the Cave.
She awoke a little bit when they were going down the stairs. She felt nice in his arms. She wishes he wouldn't let go. "Hey Paul, don't let go of me," She whispers.
"Don't worry, Darling, I plan on never letting you go," He says in a deeper tone.
She gets the butterflies. She wants to say something, but nothing comes out. Once they get down to the Cave, he finds an empty bed, which is the only one left. He puts her down, takes her shoes off, and her cropped jean jacket off. He thinks that's all, and pulls the blanket over her. "Can you stay here, please?" She manages to get out, while barely opening her eyes.
"Oh, of course, anything for you," He smirks. He is about to call her my love, but stops himself.
He was about to take his boots off then thought, "What the fuck am I doing? What if she notices my feet aren't normal?" He then just hopes she won't notice his boots are still on.
