Chapter 9

After Delilah and Marko get to the Cave, he doesn't need her assistance anymore. They sit out by where Delilah likes to sit with Paul.

"What happened to me while we were out?" He asks her.

"One of those guys staked you. You of all people they could have staked, they staked you first," She replies in a shaky voice.

"How did I become alive again though?"

"I saved you. I don't know how. I was hugging you and crying," She sighs. "I never knew the power I had from my tears."

"Like as if they healed me?"

"Yeah, they did. I think similar to Pheonix tears."

"Woah, that's cool, dude!"

"Yeah, but why would I have to cry to save people's lives?"

"I don't know, but that's cool, man!"

"I guess it is. I brought you back to life!" She laughs.

The rest of the boys show up with Micheal behind them. "Why didn't you stop your brother, from killing MY brother?"

"I didn't know they were going to kill him first!"

"Sure. It was planned all along, wasn't it? To attack us when you had the chance?"

"No, it was not. I swear."

"Micheal, I don't know if I can ever believe you again."

"I'm sorry, Delilah. I truly didn't know they were coming to attack you guys. I don't even know how they got there."

"On their bikes, how else? My brother didn't do shit to them!"

"No, but he's a vampire."

"So, what? That doesn't mean they could try to KILL him!" Her eyes flash red.

"Hey, Delilah, let's go," Paul interjects.

"Hey, just so you know, I'm not done with you!" She yells trying to fight Paul so she can go at Micheal. "What the fuck was that for?"

"David motioned towards you to take you away from the situation, so I did."

"Oh, thanks, I guess. I truly could have killed him."

"Yeah, we know. That's why David told me to interject and take you somewhere else while Marko, David, and Dwayne deal with him."

"Yeah, I just...I don't know, he's just been getting on my nerves lately."

"We can tell," Paul laughs. "Why has be been, though?"

"I don't know, it just happens," She sighs.

"It happened with me and Dwayne before," Paul shrugs. "I would go after Dwayne the same way you go at Micheal. The only way that it stopped was for me and him to get into a fight that only ended when we had enough of each other. Now we're fine."

"I doubt Micheal would even do that."

"You never know, he may."

Delilah kisses Paul.

"You're the best," She says.

"Yeah, I am, but you're cooler. You saved Marko," He smiles.

"I didn't even know I can do that," She laughs.

They walk back hand in hand. Micheal is on the ground beat up.

"What did you guys do to this loser?" She asks.

"To show him that you have people that protect you," Marko answers.

She smiles, "Yeah, but I can handle myself though."
