One weary night in Santa Carla, Lucy's working at Max's video store, she always sees the same four young guys. She always wondered why.
She never thought to ask their names, or even ask why they were always sitting around their bikes, not really interacting with others. When they do, she notices a pattern. The person goes missing the next night. "Coincidence," she always thinks. "It can't be them."
She knows her sons won't interact with them. At least that's what she always thought. Micheal has gotten into a few things because of them that she doesn't know about.
As she was caught in thought, a customer came in looking for a movie, but couldn't seem to find it. She walks up to them and asks, "Hey, I see you're looking for something, but can't find it?"
"Yes, I am, I'm looking to see if you have The Breakfast Club?" they reply.
"I can check our system if you would like?" Lucy also tries to remember if they have it in the store.
"That'd be great," They reply.
Lucy checks the system, it says they have it, but nowhere to be found. She always disliked when that would happen. People always stealing things, she's had enough of it, but can never figure out who she would ask or tell. She always thinks, "Max would help," but she doesn't want to bother him while they have something good going on.
She goes to look for that customer, but they disappear. She was lost in thought and never realized or noticed they had left. If only she had got that person's name.
As for Micheal and Sam, they were at a concert where he always eyed a girl. She never paid much attention to people looking at her as she was dancing, but when she caught Micheal's eyes, she froze. After a beat, she started dancing again. When he went back to look at her, she was gone, she vanished. He always wondered why she did that.
As she walks down the Boardwalk, she always makes sure no one follows her, she can never be too sure when she's walking with a young boy. Once she reaches the same four guys she hangs out with, the same ones Lucy always sees. The younger one always catches a ride with a tall, long black black-haired guy. The girl goes with a blonde with a short mullet.
Lucy watches them, as they rip out of the parking lot. She wonders if that was the girl she was talking to, or who it was she was talking to. She never got a name from this unknown person. They seemed to have kept their hood up for the most part, and she kept wondering if they stole the movie from the store. Lucy sighs and eventually closes up shop since no one is coming in. She goes for a little walk before meeting Sam since he drove out with her that afternoon. Micheal drove on his bike since he didn't want to be there as early as Sam wanted to be.
He wanted to be there half an hour before the concert started. While Sam wanted to go to the arcade, and comic book store. He can usually spend a lot of time in either of those places where time doesn't feel like it's going by fast, but it is. He never realizes the time that goes by, until he sees a clock saying the time.
When he realizes the concert will start in 15 minutes he goes and tries to find Micheal in the crowd of people. As he was doing that, he bumps into someone, he apologizes, but the person pulls him back. "Where do you think you're going so fast?" he says with a devilish smile.
"To find my brother? What else would I be doing?" Sam spits out at the guy.
"Boys, do you think he should go find his brother?" the one says with the mullet.
"Nah, I don't think he should," says one with the curly blonde hair.
"I agree with Marko, David," says another with blonde hair.
Sam learns that the one with curly hair is named Marko, and he then figures the one with the mullet is David. The other two are still unknown to him.
The other stayed quiet, observing Sam.
"Hey! I got somewhere to be. Why not just let me go?" Sam says trying to push his way through.
"Not so fast...your brother is Micheal, right?" David says with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, so?" Sam says with attitude. "How do you know that?"
"Let's just say, word gets around fast," David replies.
"Whatever," rolling his eyes.
As Sam gets past the guys, he sprints out to where he usually finds his brother before they make their way into the concert area.
"What took you so long?" Micheal says as his brother is sprinting towards him.
"Sorry, got caught up with something," Sam wanted to say what, and how those guys knew Micheal without having not met him yet, but he knew it would have been no use.
Micheal had a feeling he got hung up with something, more like some people, but he didn't know who. He just figured some buddies like Alan and Edgar. He never thought the boys he has also bumped into a few nights before.
As they got into the concert area, Micheal immediately started to look for the same girl he has been seeing these past few nights. He just wants to get to know her. At least that's what he wants.
After a bit, he finally sees her leaving instead of somehow disappearing like she usually does. He goes to catch up with her, while Sam is following him. Micheal wishes that Sam would get off his heels, but he doesn't know what else to do for him. So he just lets him. As Sam realizes what's happenin, he says, "Why are you trying to go after her? She's so out of your league!" he does a slight yell as it was still a little bit loud getting out of the crowded area.
"Just because I want to talk to her, doesn't mean you have to come with me," Micheals says back.
"Whatever," Sam sighs, and gets the idea, so he goes to the comic store to see his friends.
Micheal catches up with her and realizes she is with those guys. He walks towards them, in hopes they may talk to him. And to his luck...
