Their shared chambers were filled with children's laughter, Rhaella and Baelon both sat on Alana and Aegon's bed trying to make Elaena laugh, but as she was still only a few days old she just stared at her siblings with her brown eyes. Elaena was laid between Aegon and Alana.

It was still quite early in the morning, but the whole castle was awake and moving. Servants and Guards moving around outside the chambers.

"Why she not smiling?" Baelon looked up at them, a pout on his face.

Alana smiled at Baelon, while her hand was under Elaena's neck and head as Elaena was laid down. "She is still very young Baelon."

"I want her to smile." Baelon looked back down at Elaena, who was still staring at them with curious eyes her fingers clenching and unclenching.

Aegon chuckled from beside Alana, "She will when she's older and ready."

Rhaella moved to sit on Aegon's lap. "She smile?"

Aegon shook his head, his hand stroking Rhaella's silver waves on her head, she was still dressed in her nightgown from the night before. "Not yet, my princess. She's still getting used to the world."

Rhaella pouted, leaning back in Aegon's lap. "Elaena..smile." Baelon kept pushing to get Elaena to smile. But Elaena kept looking up at him, her face still in the same expression.

"She's still very young Baelon." Alana repeated her words, Baelon looked up at Alana with a pout on his face once again.

Baelon looked back down at Elaena and nodded, pulling his hands away from her. "I want her to smile.."

"She will in time." Aegon nodded, still holding Rhaella in his lap, Rhaella still having a pout on her face.

Baelon looked back up at Aegon and gave him a reluctant nod.

"Good." Aegon nodded, "She'll do it eventually."

Alana smiled at the interaction between them, and looked at Elaena who had her face scrunched up looking as if she was about to cry. Alana picked her up putting her on her shoulder, rubbing her back.

"What wrong?" Rhaella spoke up, her face twisting in one of concern for her beloved younger sister.

"She's just hungry." Alana smiled at Rhaella, trying to give her some comfort. Alana got up from the bed, walking to the window, adjusting her nightgown so she could nurse Elaena.

Baelon tugged on Aegon's sleeve of his nightshirt "Why she always eating?" Baelon asked Aegon, looking between Aegon and Alana's whose back was turned to them.

Aegon bit the inside of his cheek, not sure how to explain this to his children. "She's..very small so in order to make her bigger and stronger she has to eat so often."

Baelon nods, "Oh." Baelon muttered sitting up straight.

It was now mid-day, Alana was sitting at the table in her shared chambers reading a book. She still couldn't do that much as she was still healing and needed to not do too much. Elaena laid in her cradle nearby, as Baelon and Rhaella played with their toys, Aegon sitting beside them watching as they played.

The afternoon sun crept it's way into the chambers, casting a warm glow. Alana's eyes skimmed over the words of the books, she was now more dressed more formal for the day, her hair was down as always a leather band holding up some hair in the middle, she was dressed in a light blue dress, wearing her normal rings on her fingers.

Despite the everyday demands motherhood brought Alana, she could always try and find some time for herself, even if it was reading as her children were occupied.

Aegon looked over his shoulder and saw Alana reading peacefully, he looked back at Rhaella and Baelon both playing with their toys, oblivious to Aegon watching them.

Aegon slowly got up from his spot on the ground, walking to Elaena's cradle, looking down at his daughter who blissfully slept the day away despite crying just an hour ago.

"What are you reading love?" Aegon spoke up, looking at Alana and walking to her, sitting on an empty seat next to her.

Alana looked at Aegon, glancing at her book before looking at him again. "About the conquest, it's quite interesting."

"Interesting?" Aegon raised his eyebrow, "How so?"

"How your ancestors threatened my ancestors to bend the knee or burn...and now a hundred or so years later a Stark and Targaryen bound in marriage with three children." Alana chuckled teasing him, shutting the large book.

Aegon chuckled, leaning back in his chair. "I don't care about the past. Just about our family."

"I think I shall be the only Stark who was married to a Targaryen." Alana paused but smiled. "But I wouldn't change it."

Aegon reached out for her hand, intertwining hers with his. "Neither would I. You have changed me for the best Alana. I am not the drunk whoring prince everyone saw me to be...."

"No, you changed yourself, I only helped you partially." Alana rubbed her thumb over his hand, Aegon feeling the coldness of her rings but his whole body felt warm with her touch.

Aegon smiled at her words, a small but genuine laugh escaping his lips. "Perhaps you are right."

Alana smiled and nodded, before Rhaella walked over to them. "Mummy?"

Alana looked at Rhaella, still holding Aegon's hand. "Yes, darling?" Alana asked, Aegon watching the pair, incredibly happy in that moment.

Rhaella tugged at her sleeve dress, "Go in the gardens?"

Alana smiled, glancing at Aegon who gave her a nod. "Of course." Alana nodded, "I can have Lysara watch Elaena for a little bit.."
