🎶: 'The Medallion Calls' by Klaus Badelt

Soobin shut off his phone, not reading the time that was already 11:59pm.

"We should sleep."

"Okay."

Yeonjun settled down into his sheets, and yawned again.

"Good night Soobin."

"Night Hyung."

The tallest ravenette pulled the blanket up to his chest, resting his palms over his stomach as he stared at the ceiling, deep in thought.

Wow... now that was one story. I'm curious to see what's next.

With that thought, he fell asleep.

Unaware of the mysterious green light emitting from his phone screen that suddenly lit up...

The meadows flew by along with the dense and thick forest beginning to lose its colors, signifying the coming of autumn as two figures whooshed through the trees.

"Catch me if you can!"

"You best bet I will!!"

A pair of hands swung themselves across the thick and sturdy tree branches, followed closely by another close on his heels, racing the younger one who had been in a very playful mood that late afternoon.

"You're such a slowpoke Yeonjun!"

"Hey!"

Taehyun giggled, leaping onto the closest tree branch below him, landing softly and elegantly on the rough bark thanks to his comfy laced boots.

"I win!"

Yeonjun landed with a heavy thud on the ground below him, stretching his back.

"Ugh, I'm getting too old for all this tree racing."

And all that just to find berries.

"Too bad, you wanted to go with me instead of letting Kai come along."

"You know he wanted to help Beomgyu with decorating!"

"I know."

Yeonjun clicked his tongue.

"This is not the kid I raised."

"You're right, my mom raised me instead."

"Ugh..."

Five years, and then another five years passed since the discovery of their communication abilities.

Ten years is a long time for things to change, and they most certainly did. Luckily, it was mostly for the better.

Over their time guarding the inhabitants of their forest, the five boys have grown up well, both mentally and physically, gaining lots of experience and wisdom through their day to day activities.
