"Unnie!"

"What the fuck are you doing to teacher Ruby Jane?!"

Jennie suddenly heard a familiar voice coming from the doorway. It was Kai, her teenage neighbor and one of her pottery students. Kai had always been kind and protective towards Jennie, ever since she moved into the neighborhood. He had witnessed her transformation over the years and had secretly harbored a crush on her, vowing to protect her at all costs.

Jennie's eyes lit up when she saw Kai, realizing he could be her escape from this awkward situation. She quickly decided to play along with a mischievous idea.

"Help, Kai!" Jennie shouted, her voice laced with faux distress. "This girl is harassing me! I don't even know her!"

Lisa's eyes widened in shock at Jennie's words. "What? Jennie, what are you talking about?!"

But Kai, loyal and eager to protect Jennie, didn't question her words. He immediately pulled out his phone, dialing 911 as he glared at Lisa. "I'm calling the cops! Stay away from her!"

Jennie took advantage of the distraction, pushing Lisa off her and standing up quickly. She brushed herself off, a smirk playing on her lips as she approached Kai. "Thank you, Kai. You got here just in time," she said sweetly, giving him a grateful smile.

Kai returned her smile, a blush creeping up his cheeks. "It's my pleasure, Unnie. I'll always be here to help you." He then turned his attention back to Lisa, his expression hardening. "The cops are on their way, and you're going to be in serious trouble."

Lisa couldn't believe what was happening. She pointed at Jennie, frustration evident in her voice. "Jennie, I can't believe you're lying like this! You know me! we know each other! you're my wife!"

Kai furrowed his brow in confusion. "Wife? Jennie? Unnie, do you know this woman?"

Jennie shook her head, her expression innocent. "Don't listen to her, Kai. She's crazy. I don't even know her name"

Lisa clenched her fists in anger, her patience wearing thin. "You're lying, Jennie! You're my wife, and you know it!"

Before the situation could escalate further, the police arrived at Jennie's house, two officers stepping out of the patrol car and approaching them. Kai quickly pointed at Lisa. "She's the one harassing Unnie!"

Lisa immediately tried to defend herself. "Wait, you don't understand! I'm married to Jennie-Ruby Jane, whatever she calls herself. She's lying!"

One of the officers glanced at Jennie, recognizing her. "Ruby Jane's partner is Jin. We know him well, they're good friends of ours."

Lisa sighed in defeat as the cops moved to handcuff her, realizing there was no way out of this without Jennie's cooperation. She glanced back at Jennie, desperation in her eyes. But Jennie simply stuck her tongue out at Lisa, a playful and victorious expression on her face.

The police escorted Lisa to their car, and as they drove away, Jennie and Kai were left standing on the front porch. Jennie turned to Kai, her smile genuine this time. "Thanks again, Kai. You really saved me there."

Kai hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Is your name really Jennie?"

Jennie shook her head, giving him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about what that woman said earlier. My name is Ruby Jane."

Kai nodded, accepting her answer without question. "Okay, Unnie. I'll see you tomorrow for pottery class?"

"Yes, don't forget to practice," Jennie reminded him, her tone light. Kai smiled, giving her a small wave before heading back to his house.
