A few hours ago

The manager was sitting at his desk when a knock sounded on the door. He looked up and saw a young man standing in the doorway.
"Can I help you?" the manager asked.
The young man hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I'm here about the intern position."
The manager looked at the man's resume briefly before nodding. "Ah, yes. You applied for the job, correct?".
The young man nodded. "Yes, I applied for the intern position."
The manager looked at the resume again, taking in the man's qualifications. He had a mix of curiosity and skepticism in his expression. The manager asked a few questions about the man's experience and qualifications, trying to evaluate if he would be a good fit for the position.
"Can you tell me a bit about your previous experience and skills that make you believe you're qualified for this position?" the manager asked. The man outlined his previous experiences and skills, highlighting his achievements and areas of knowledge that made him a suitable candidate for the intern position.
The manager listened carefully, taking notes on the man's responses. He was impressed by the man's background and qualifications, but he still had some reservations.
"Impressive," the manager said. "But I do have one question."The man nodded, ready to answer the question.
The manager leaned forward. "Why do you want to intern at this company specifically?"The man was taken aback by the question, but he quickly composed himself.
"Honestly, I've always had a strong interest in this company. It's a well-respected name in the industry, and I believe working here would provide me with invaluable experience and opportunities for growth.  The manager smiled slightly, satisfied with the man's response.
"Well, in that case, I'm pleased to say that we'd like to offer you the intern position welcome Mr Luca Di'angelo.  Luca walked out of the manager's office, feeling frustrated and angry. The interview had gone well, but the manager had lowballed him on salary and offered him a position beneath his qualifications,"him an intern" he thought. Luca  clenched his fists as he walked down the hallway, trying to keep his anger in check.
Suddenly, he walked straight into someone, spilling hot coffee all over them.

Present time

Kayla walked through the door of her apartment and was immediately greeted by the sounds of laughter and music from the living room. She made her way down the hall and found her best friends, Doreen and Francis, lounging on the couch with glasses of wine in hand.Kayla's face lit up with a smile as she saw her friends. "Hey, guys! How's it going?"
Doreen and Francis turned to her, grinning. "Hey, girl!" Doreen exclaimed. "We were just talking about you."Kayla raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh really? What were you saying about me?"
Francis chuckled and patted the spot between them on the couch. "Come sit and find out.Kayla sat down between Doreen and Francis on the couch, still wondering what they were talking about before her arrival.
Doreen and Francis exchanged a knowing look before Doreen produced a gift-wrapped box from behind her back. "Surprise!" she exclaimed, holding it out to Kayla.Kayla's eyes widened in surprise as she took the box from Doreen. She carefully began unwrapping the paper, revealing a beautiful designer handbag inside.
"Oh my god, this is gorgeous!" Kayla gasped, running her hand over the soft leather. "You guys didn't have to get me anything!"Doreen chuckled, waving her hand dismissively. "Don't be silly, you deserve it after getting that new job."
Francis had a smirk on his face, still holding something behind his back. "But that's not all we got you."Kayla looked between her friends, curious about what else they had gotten her. "What else is there?" she asked.
Francis brought his hand from behind his back, revealing a small jewelry box. "Take a look."
Kayla reached out and took the box from Francis, opening it up to reveal a delicate necklace with a gleaming gemstone pendant.Kayla gasped as she looked at the necklace. "This is beautiful!" she exclaimed, lifting it out of the box to admire it more closely.
Doreen smiled, pleased with Kayla's reaction. "We thought it would look great on you. You should try it on."
Kayla gingerly put the necklace on and looked at herself with a grin in the nearest mirror. "I love it," she said, adjusting it just right.Doreen and Francis exchanged a satisfied look, happy to see Kayla so pleased with the gifts.
Francis spoke up. "Well, that's not all we have for you. We have one other thing."
Kayla raised an eyebrow, unsure of what could be left to give her. "What else could you possibly give me?"Francis reached behind the couch and pulled out a fancy bottle of champagne. "This is for us to celebrate your new job," he said, holding up the bottle.
Kayla's eyes widened. "You guys got me champagne, too?"
Doreen nodded, reaching for the bottle. "It's a special occasion. We couldn't let it go by without some bubbly. The trio spent the night watching movies, sipping champagne, and snacking on some yummy appetizers. They laughed and chatted, celebrating Kayla's new job and enjoying each other's company. By the end of the night, they were all feeling good and a little light-headed from the champagne.
